How about we remove the damage from Genji's Dash

The way it is, with the ludicrously generous ‘elimination’ reset, this unmissable piece of damage that’s also on top of a whats basically a Mage’s Blink effectively means he needs to do 50 less damage to secure a kill than every other hero does

Genji in general is a very annoying tricky to take down hero, and it would make playing against him a lot stressful if he had to get THREE lucky fast-flicks in a row to take down most heroes all on his own instead of just two, if we knew this supposed glass ninja that requires so much skill didn’t actually have an easyhit damage-burst in his pocket alongside his multiple get-out-of-dieing-free cards

Yeah, no, that’s a really cool, core part of his kit.

I often ‘joke’ to nerf Genji and frankly this would kill him, unless you want to buff his shurikens or Blade, which I do not at all want that.

yeah it’s why he also has one of the lowest neutral DPS in the game, and the second lowest of all DPS. If you’re going to make Dash do 0 damage, he would need like 32-34 damage per shuriken, and Blade to do like 130 per swing, just to be competitive with mid tier DPS.

man we just calling anything anything in here these days huh

Reduce his HP to 225 and just make him move faster during his ultimate. That’s the secret to fixing him.

Like every mobile hero but him got an HP nerf. Lmao.

Genjis weak right now tbh, so yeah we could probably nerf him a bit

Lets just remove his legs too OP

Not really, not with Dragonblade anyway. But the cooldown for Swiftstrike would need to be drastically lowered, and he would need some kind of area-effect damage/finisher. Or, yeah, you’d have to buff up primary-fire’s damage to more lethal levels.

He already gets a movement speed boost while in Dragonblade.

Swiftstrike isn’t the burst-component to Genji’s kit. That’s his critical hit focused shuriken.

Swiftstrike is an area-effect ability on a 9 second cooldown. If you manage to kill a target with Swiftstrike, you can do it again, but as an ability that does 50 damage to one target on a 9 second cooldown, it’s fairly bad.

By comparison, Soldier’s Helix Rocket does 120 damage on a 6-second cooldown. Echo’s Sticky Bombs on a 6-second cooldown can do 100+ damage. Rein’s firestrike does 120 damage per target on a line, and he has two charges on a 6-second cooldown.

All these abilities do more than twice as much as the damage, or more, than Genji does on a shorter cooldown.
