dps 450 -> 250
spread same as recon mode. ironclad 35% on sentry mode. for compensate. You guys haven’t forgot how strong it is.
no headshot on sentry mode.
to enemy’s shield . he deals x2.5 damage. To shield breaking . his dps is 625.
summary : remaining his shield-counter. & less return/risk.
Yeah, Bastion can destroy shields, but that isn’t his main purpose.
Hes supposed to be an area denier, or lock off from an area.
“Bastion” by definition, is an area that can strongly defend in a single area. Bastion fails to do that miserably because he can’t defend himself.
If hes stationary with the semi-massive DPS he has, he needs his own form of protection, like his shield from the beta and locked into a 180 degree angle so he can’t turn around and shoot at flankers…
These changes look nice, but they dont solve his core issue.
It’s really not. A skilled sniper with good positioning can wreck a Bastion pretty hard.
Bastion is only infuriating if you have a team that doesn’t know how to counter Bastion, but a lot of counterplays have been invented and I’ve seen some that work relatively well.
Winston dives Bastion and the rest of the team works around this by trying to eliminate the biggest threats on the point first, then mopping up anyone who might be trying to hide and take the point back.
Rein/Bastion counterplay, Rein is only able to guard Bastion for part of the time but Bastion’s DPS causes enough chaos to kill off at least half of a defending team while the others attack from a different direction.
Genji infiltration. All Genji has to do is not die and he stands a really good chance of killing a Bastion.
