I just saw another LGBT thread open up on the forums, and their big new thing is “representation matters” well this isn’t a hit on LGBT, but to be fair, LGBT gets plenty of representation, everywhere you look.
Did you ever attend public school? I have natural red hair. It’s fine now as an adult because I learned to be tough. I was born this way, and there was never any hiding it. My bright shiny red hair was out there for the world to see, since the day I was born on this earth.
As a kid, I would constantly get picked on and bullied because I was a ginger, a carrot top. I learned to be tough.
If representation matters, then let there be a red-headed hero in Overwatch. Because honestly, red heads get no representation anywhere, ever. Can you think of a single red headed movie star, actor, or video game character who isn’t just portrayed as a dork?
I am never a fan of, “You want representation? WELL WHAT ABOUT REPRESENTATION FOR MY GENETICS?” argument. Because…well, yes. You deserve that representation, too! Instead of this “Well if you want representation, what about us?” why couldn’t you have worded it like, “Yeah that would be really cool. Can we also extend that to represent my genetics, too?” rather than suggesting it to shut the desire of inclusion for LGBT down.
Also, Emma Stone, Alexander Breckenridge, Christina Hendricks, Ella Henderson, Isla Fisher, Judy Greer, Karen Gillan, Bella Thorne, Elena Satine, Scarlett Pomers…all come to mind
I think Moira fits the description. I do understand what your saying about representation I fight for Roadrat day in and day out however I’d imagine theyd be more inclined to give someone a carrot top hair color rather than make a hero who just so happens to be carrot top.
Black Widow (Marvel), Mary Jane Parker (Marvel), Caitlin Fairchild (Gen 13), Alexander Fairchild (Gen 13), Jean Grey (Marvel), the Scarlet Witch (Marvel), Scarlet (GI Joe), Dana Scully (X Files), Kim Possible (Disney), Blossom (Power Puff Girls), Invisible Girl (Incredibles), Nami (One Piece)
Could probably think of more but thats just what came to mind.
In Final Fantasy 9, [I’m a huge final fantasy fan, up until FF9] there was a red-headed hero introduced to the game. He was awesome. Except he was introduced into the game as “The Flaming Amarant”. Because of his red hair. Really? LOL.
Moira is naturaly redhair (and have dychromia) but no, there is no confirmation she is LGBTetc. Although thats easy to think of because as pointed in a video, Moira is a great study of ambiguity in her design and Lore.
All female. So yeah, according to popular belief, red-headed women are firecrackers, right? They’re hot, they’re fun, and they’re spunky. Can you think of any red-headed men who are just awesome? We exist.
*Edited to add: Ella Henderson isn’t red-headed, she’s blonde. I just googled all of those names you listed. And btw, who the hell are half of those people you listed anyway? You just googled “red headed famous people” and made a list. Btw, all female. 1 doesn’t even have red hair.
I mean, they’re all redheads that came to mind. They’re actresses in movies that I’ve watched with my family. Any information you give, about anything, is probably on Google too so I don’t know what you want. lol.
The only redheaded men I can think of are Ed Sheeran, Conan O’Brien, and Andy…something. He’s an NFL player.
