Not a very good idea. Introducing hero bans in a game where swapping and countering is a core mechanic doesn’t really work.

For instance: Ban McCree + Soldier, pick Pharah.

Ban Rein + Orisa, enemy has no consistent shields to hold a choke.

Ban Zen + Lucio, enemy has no defensive support ults.

The roster is simply not large enough for something like this.

This is so easily countered.You can use this strategically over and over again.You can ban Moira and mercy and the Ana will get dived.You can ban staple tanks and they are forced to feed or dive. There is only 6 supports

Absolutely not unless the game were to have at least fifty or so heroes. Maybe over a hundred.

Very bad idea. You think people will be fair and just ban doomfist, brigitte, hanzo, and widowmaker only?

Lets be honest here, the heroes people will be banning is Reinhardt, Orisa, and Winston. Good luck trying to win without any shield tanks. Especially on payload/escort maps.

If it was implemented, I see people banning the following:

  • Reinhardt + Briggite
  • Reinhardt + Zarya
  • Orisa + Briggite
  • Orisa + Zarya
  • Winston + D.Va

As a results, you’re forcing the enemy team and your team into playing certain METAs. If you remove all shields, Brigitte is a joke to kill.

good idea, but not right now. IMO there aren’t enough heroes in the game to have a ban system put in place.
