Let’s face it guys no matter how much they continue to nerf soldier 76 mccree widowmaker ashe etc it’s unhealthy for the game. Heroes shouldn’t suffer just because stacking them is good against everything.
Remember when ashe was our first new sniper and people were trying out ashe comps and found success? Now u can’t run a single hitscan as ur ranged damage now since the enemy will just run 2 or more hitscans.
The release of ashe (or any other hitscan with long-ranged damage) was inevitable it was bound to happen. But allowing TWO of the same kind of dps is beyond broken. And as long as they don’t change how the system works we will keep seeing pointless nerfs and angry costumers since their favorite heroes keep getting dumpstered.
soldier 76 mccree widowmaker and ashe are fine on their own. None of them is absurdly overpowered. None of them are OP outside of double hitscan.
It’s time Blizzard. Put an end to this nightmare of constant nerfs
Echo and tracer exist and are both really good picks in the relevant team comps right now. It has been proven that its still better to have a tracer or echo than to stack 2 long range hitscans
Um considering the fact that this diamond rank Soldier smurf was straight deleting our squishies from sniper-range high grounds all game until I finally went a dive tank and started harassing him, I wouldn’t say they’re fine. I’d say they were over-buffed to deal with Pharmercy and now we all have to deal with that and it’s awful… But I wouldn’t say “fine” of all things.
Like Soldier 76 alone can absolutely shred even tanks down fast from super far away and it’s much harder to approach him/stop him from doing so than it is for him to point n click on a head/mid torso.
Can we just stop this “unhealthy for the game” talk in threads?
I bet my account the average user will have no idea what makes something healthy or unhealthy for a game; they’d have to start parroting crap from streamers, crap the user probably doesn’t even understand, to try and have a point.
At this point “unhealthy for the game” just means “I don’t like it. Remove it”.
My post is literally a copied (and slightly edited) version of another post. It’s intended to demonstrate that placing arbitrary hero limits within roles is a stupid idea.
I mean I would be completely fine with them no longer making heroes…but I doubt most would like this line of thinking
I’ve always said I want heroes to be unique and that they probably shouldn’t make more if they can’t make them different…but there are limits to it…you have to expect SOME overlap
What is the definition of spam anyway? From what I can tell, most of the time it really just means “damage from any hero I feel is beneath me, or that killed me when I feel I should have won”.
Or you know… how about we just balance the hitscan heroes appropriately instead of letting them be better heroes than the rest of the heroes? That’s quite literally all they’d have to do (aside from replacing Mercy’s damage boost which quite often breaks these heroes)
I think the issue with hitscan isn’t so much that hitscan is too good, it’s that a lot of projectile heroes are really bad.
Tracer and Echo show other DPS can compete with ranged hitscan fine if they’re strong, and there are projectile heroes like Torbjorn and Hanzo that are almost competitive. There are, however, a lot of really bad non ranged hitscan DPS, like Mei and Pharah.
