The dps passive was the worst thing ever added to this game.

The passive is fine. Having it at 20% is not.
I’d say push it up to 25%, then buff Tanks
I might be slightly biased as a DPS main; however, I actually quite enjoy the passive. They should give it to everyone.
Honestly, I think it’s alright. It gave the DPS role a unique identity at a time where it was constantly being questioned whether they offered anything worthwhile over Supports and Tanks, since heroes of those roles have pick-securing capabilities as well.
That all said, yeah I’m gonna have to agree with some others in this thread, this is a perfectly room temperature take.
I feel like my hottest take personally is that S1 Mag Nade was perfectly fine.
How about 10% instead? Support feels awful to play with the passive so high.
All the global/role passives are just lazy low effort.
As a tank main - the dps passive doesn’t bother me at all.
Tbh, I’m more concerned about
- Get more Tank players to fix Queue/Matchmaking issues.
- Make sure composition durability doesn’t go too high.
But I’m fine with whatever method does that, with the most benefit, with the least downsides.
Yeah not even close, and the difference between 15% and 20% is also not very notable
People should already be aiming to avoid damage as much as they can, so the passive shouldn’t be that detrimental to supports. Proper use of support abilities also makes the passive not a big deal and are the reason it was added to begin with probably.
I think you can simplify the take even further to the following: role passives in general where a mistake.
The one possible exception I would have is anti-cc passive for tanks or even other roles as cc is something that cannot be spammable on the same target.
I would like to see it adjusted to around 15% but actually think it was good for the game overall in the current low effort 5v5 format.

I find passives to be pointless. If want to increase dmg to dps, just increase the dmg to all dps.
It needs a threshold condition before proc-ing.
They’re self sabotaging the game, so they can find another franchise to goldmind.
I think the DPS passive was the wrong approach but I’ve enjoyed the outcome anyway. HPS has been too high for my liking for too long. Even with a 20% penalty, I can’t say that healing as Bap, Kiri or Illari feels weak at all.
But out of the two of us, OP, I seem to have the warmer take. At least if these forums are anything to go by, I reckon I’m in the minority on this one.
Here is a real hot take
Soldier, Soujurn, Ashe, Mecree, and Widow all take SIGNIFICANTLY less skill than Mei or Symmetra
