Doomfist is a character that feels very underwhelming to play. This is mainly due to how his damage isn’t really there and punch still feels like hitting someone with a wet noodle. I had an idea to potentially make Doomfist more engaging to play and face against.
Changes:
Doomfist - Health decreased to 425
Rocket Punch - Cooldown increased to 5s
- Damage of normal punch at full charge increased to 60 on impact and 40 on wall
- Remove 0.25s stun on wall hit for normal punch
Block (Rework) - Block can now give access to 2 tiers of empowered punch. Tier 1 empowered punch being the blue fist we have now and a new Tier 2 empowered punch that is red.
- It takes 80 damage to get Tier 1 and an additional 50 to get Tier 2 empowered punch
- Tier 1 empowered punch has the same damage as normal punch but keeps the wall hit stun that it has now
- Tier 2 empowered punch has its damage at full charge increased to 150 on impact and 80 on wall hit, loses stun on wall hit, and can only hit a single target
Meteor Strike Ultimate - Doomfist now gets Tier 2 empowered punch after use
This change would make hitting enemies with rocket punch far more rewarding and make block a little more in-depth while not making him OP. But hey its just a hot take.
