Hot take on possible Doomfist changes

Doomfist is a character that feels very underwhelming to play. This is mainly due to how his damage isn’t really there and punch still feels like hitting someone with a wet noodle. I had an idea to potentially make Doomfist more engaging to play and face against.

Changes:
Doomfist - Health decreased to 425
Rocket Punch - Cooldown increased to 5s
- Damage of normal punch at full charge increased to 60 on impact and 40 on wall
- Remove 0.25s stun on wall hit for normal punch
Block (Rework) - Block can now give access to 2 tiers of empowered punch. Tier 1 empowered punch being the blue fist we have now and a new Tier 2 empowered punch that is red.
- It takes 80 damage to get Tier 1 and an additional 50 to get Tier 2 empowered punch
- Tier 1 empowered punch has the same damage as normal punch but keeps the wall hit stun that it has now
- Tier 2 empowered punch has its damage at full charge increased to 150 on impact and 80 on wall hit, loses stun on wall hit, and can only hit a single target
Meteor Strike Ultimate - Doomfist now gets Tier 2 empowered punch after use

This change would make hitting enemies with rocket punch far more rewarding and make block a little more in-depth while not making him OP. But hey its just a hot take.

His punch should be able to one-shot if he hits someone into a wall, but put it on a longer cooldown.

Rein’s pin can one-shot if he hits someone into a wall.

Rein has to use up his one and only movement ability to do it though, making one small mistake with charge means he just gets deleted. Doom can just fly away with slam in contrast even after messing up his punches, or block and get his punch CD back instantly anyway. Rocket Punch is also an AOE attack, meaning everyone caught in the cone takes damage, gets stunned and can be thrown into a wall. Pin can only do direct wall damage against the one target caught, though of course he can knockback others around for chip damage.

Not even the same comparison, 1-shotting a whole team with 1 punch would just be pure cancer especially when you factor in empowered punch and the fact Doom can fly away easily without being punished. Multi-hit is too good to remove either, Doom needs it to assert space in choke points and actually be a tank. Kills don’t matter in that context, you are setting your team up for kills and not just yourself.

Amusingly enough it can do damage to multiple. Everyone he bumps takes 50 damage.
