Hook -> Turn again?

Wasn’t this specifically patched out of the game like, a year ago? Why are Roadhogs still able to hook you and then turn 90-180 degrees to force you off a ledge?

No, they fixed that one that allowed Roadhog to transform you and himself into a fidget spinner

Uhh cause Hog rocks lol his hook is still a buggy inconsistent mess so if anything it needs to be ironed out and given a slight buff to the damage output.

The hook is easily avoidable currently so as far as I’m concerned if you get hooked that’s on you.

Honestly was one of the best most balanced features in the game

Did you even read the post, or did you just see something negative being said about Hog and decided to go full defensive rant?

Same here! Maybe as an animation he could hook someone and you can choose to either shoot or spin for a quick dizziness aka stun for maybe 3 to 4 seconds.

I just had it happen twice, got hooked and the hog turned almost 180 degrees to drop me off a ledge. Looked the same on the killcam as well.

I play hog all the time I love him and I’ve never seen or done that if I do try that they end up behind me or to the right of me.

It works to a little less than 90 degrees. It hasn’t worked for 180 degrees in about a year.

Hog main with over 100 hours+, Diamond.

It was fixed along time ago.
Yes there is bugs still, like every character.

Known Bug:
Hook + Enemy Movement Skill = Buggy Hard Lock will pull you from the depths of the under world. Hog has a chance to turn and face the pull direction.

Anything past 90 deg it will automatically disconnect.

Latency can also make it seem further degree turn.

It is intended. It isn’t a 90* turn or 180*. It’s more like 45.

Except I just watched it, twice, on the kill cams. It was way more than 90 degrees.

Then you have no actual idea of angles with Hog’s hook.

It wasn’t patched out - A blizzard post specifically addressed this point and said it the turn rate was reduced, that’s all.

Personally, I’d rather the hook end-location to be completely independent of Roadhog’s orientation (like in Dota2) because the buggy-ness isn’t worth it. They can’t seem to perfect the way the game handles hooked targets plus collision with the environment or odd vertical orientations, which I believe are what people are referencing when talking about the bugs that still exist.

Ah yes, how could I forget such a graceful bug?

I’ve managed to turn around 90 degrees after hooking people. I’d say 135 degrees might be around a maximum though. I’ve never see a 180 before, and I did play quite a bit of hog hooking on a private server. Where everyone was hog and the only way to kill the other team was with hooking them to their death.

As someone that literally mains Roadhog, it is 45 degrees. Any higher than that and it breaks the chain.

180 isn’t possible, but 90 degrees is. I don’t really see why that shouldn’t be allowed. He’s a massive mutated Australian man, he should be able to whip around the dps a little.
