Road is similar to Sombra, apparently both were never OP but both were incredibly annoying.
When Road was getting reworked, he was left in a state that was so useless, you were almost throwing picking him.

We had to go over the entire xmas 2022/23 period with hog and sojourn being broken until they gutted both of them
Or just after his rework where he was unkillable because they buffed both his healing and dmg reduction on vape and then had to walk it back because he ruined the game for weeks

Hog still is broken. His self sustain is stupid and makes him impossible to kill without an ana nade. A tank being able to 1 shot is a dumb design because a hero who has 3x more hp than you shouldn’t be better at killing you than another dps hero.
Only reason hog isnt being played is cus other tanks are more broken and do more broken things so relatively theres no reason to go hog.
THAT DOESNT MEAN BUFF HOG which is the part the devs are failing to understand in their game and why just looking at spreadsheets is not a good way to balance. On a spreadsheet hog may look like he is weak but thats only because other things are more broken and manipulating the data.

Because Sombra is a gatekeeper hero and nerfing her would necessitate nerfs to other heroes. Also, Hog was hated because Hog is terrible to face when he’s good. Sombra isn’t good and people just don’t like her
