Yesterday night, I had the weirdest moment when Hog literally hooked me out of my recall. I was half way through my recall and I was pulled out of it. I checked his kill cam too, and I was literally warping out and he was able to catch me. The guy admitted that it felt buggy too. Like, it was cool, and he was good, but this cannot be a thing. He literally hooked after a good moment after I pressed recall. Might want to have a look into this.

nah, most likely lag was the cause of this.

Lag comp is a two-way street no matter how much they say it’s “favor the shooter”

Hook has a few quirks caused by being one of the few exceptions to client side hit detection (a.k.a. “favor the shooter”). In rare cases, it’s possible for both players to see something different from how the hook resolved on the server, and the game will visibly backtrack to correct the problem. One such effect is “undoing” a Recall/Deflect/Translocate, while another is that the hook can appear to detach from someone and suddenly jump onto a different opponent.
