Hilarious doom and genji takes

I can see from here that adjustment would make Doomfist an absolute pub stomping monster in low rank, just ridiculously so.

The lack of one shotting barely matters when Doomfist can just do a tiny poke with his hand cannon and kill you regardless.

and why do that anymore when you can do more damage more consistently from the safety of your team? just play soldier and never find out what flashbang is.

Not to mention they basically turned Helix Rockets into a crutch ability for those who aren’t good with the recoil.

I played a LOT of soldier before the changes. Ever since the Helix buffs came I kinda got sick of playing him since rockets felt so spammy.

I feel like with Genji as someone who has him as my most played hero is that. I just straight up stopped playing him. He is just so bad to play if i dont have an ana mercy comp or something with ana i wont even think about playing him now.
a few weeks ago i hoped maybe i could try it one more time. I tried playing him lost SR. Which isnt a huge deal because I play other heroes and ive been learning new ones too. To me its just gotten too hard to get value when killing a squishy is completely negated by almost any healer.

Whats even worse is the argument lacks statistical sense in most cases on the forum.

People say Doomfist is hot garbage but Genji is fine

Genji’s at a .6% pickrate while Doom sits at .73% in GM

It doesn’t make sense for Doom to be trash but a hero below Doom is suddenly fine.

you seem cool man. Yeah i just want something small for both and i think most feel that way. As necros says “genji is so close to being solid but his damage is just lacking” I never wanted genji to be as strong as he was. In fact he was so strong that the game actually became boring and i didnt play him. We just wanted 30 damage but blizzard decided to giga buff him with not just damage tons of utility as well which just made him overloaded as a hero. Then instead of taking away the needless utility, they took away the things that made him good. He’s basically a Ferrari with a 2003 honda civic engine. He has all the bells and whistles but nothing that allows him to truly compete. Anyway, looking forward to that mei thread dude. You have some good points.

Whats even worse is they taunt us with huge fluidity buffs then just rip it away.

They need to learn this lesson, you NEVER buff firerate or give a hero a cancellable ability if you don’t intend to keep it.

Speed changes screw the worst with muscle memory.

Personally my best heroes are flankers. Echo Doom and Genji is what I prefer, what i choose. I can still play Echo but the other two not much I have always known how to play hitscan and im not bad at it. I just wish i had the option to play my most comfortable and best hero. Even though McCree is one of my best I wish sometimes i could play doom or genji.

Ah, Mei was just an example. Mei is so thoroughly hated by high rank and pro players I don’t hold out any hope for her ever. She’s in my pile of dead heroes I don’t play anymore, along with Orisa, Dva, Moira, and Brigitte.

Tbf Mei was pretty annoying

Mei to me just has one inherent huge flaw that prevents her from being generally liked:

A piercing chainable CC on a primary fire

The thing is, I don’t think it’s as simple as “just fix his bugs 4head”. The devs would of fixed them otherwise, They’re bugs. It’s just often coding is a lot harder than that. Also, often fixing one bug creates another. So it’s a difficult problem to solve.

No matter what hero you like, there are people that hate them.

Crys in i need healing

True, but it gets very VERY annoying when you see “Fixed the left spur on Mccree’s boot from rotating 1 degree too far to the right”

Instead of something like:

“Fixed a bug where objects would sometimes pass through Deflect unintentionally”

I recently saw that bug for the first time I wasnt the one getting hooked i was the one who hooked the genji and i was like. “Ah so thats what all my fellow Genji mains complain about”

I guess they’re really hard bugs to fix.
But yeah, sometimes there can be really weird bug fixes, and that time could of been spent for more important bugs. I know the emote bug will get glitched, but a lot of people love it, and it’s harmless.

It doesn’t seem very hard to fix either, just make the hitbox of Deflect cover more of Genji’s sides and make it partially encase him.

Since the problem is that some projectiles are so huge they sometimes hit both Genji and Deflect at the same time.

I also think a lot of the “bugs” on Doomfist and Reinhardt are really just issues regarding their abilities interacting with internet latency, causing behavior that looks inconsistent or buggy (but is really just lag). Melee is always a disaster with networking in FPS games, which is why I really don’t think they should make melee heroes nor make melee a major part of FPS games (but that’s another topic).

dva and orisa are examples of blizz destroying a hero with balance changes, then being to stubborn and pride filled to revert them. Orisas problem was always halt and yet they nerfed EVERYTHING BUT HALT until she wasnt fun. Then they finally nerf the problem and shes garbage simply because all of her power other than halt was taken away. Its the same with dva’s matrix, and doom uppercut. They’re too stubborn to revert a terrible change so they just leave them in the trash or buff them in dumb unnecessary ways to compensate like 3 second boosters. It seriously feels like children balance this game with how stubborn and ignorant they are.
