Highlight Save Location

Hey guys. I have a question about the highlight save location. So I’ve watched numerous videos that talked about how to change this and I looked into my settings. As I was looking through them, I didn’t see a MovieExport.1 in there and I was wondering what do I do.

Hey there, here are the instructions for you. You may have to manually type in the line on the INI file.

I have tried it multiple times and I get the same result of the game overriding the command along with later deleting the lines of code.

Try deleting the file entirely. Please note doing this will reset your video and audio settings back to their defaults (this will not however delete your control, gameplay, or social settings). Restart Overwatch, and then close the game, then try editing the settings_v0.ini file again.

So I did the things you just stated and as the result, I still don’t see the MovieExport.1

Try adding it again if you have not already. When deleted, the line will not be there.

Is there anything else to add other than the MovieExport.1 and Video Path lines?

Nope. That should be all you need. The output location should display in the highlight menu on Overwatch if this is working correctly.

Sorry for the late report kind sir but the game keeps getting rid of the code which I added in. Should this be happening still?

I think something with your computer is preventing the game from overriding the file. You may need to check for things like your anti-virus to make sure Overwatch (C:/Program Files (x86)/Overwatch/Overwatch.exe) has permission to edit and change files in your documents folder.

Personally, I do not know how to check that. Is there someone who can contact me and walk me through it?

It would vary based on your anti-virus software. At this point, I recommend starting a direct live chat web ticket to Blizzard Support. Here is the link:

Ok, thank you for your assistance. It is much appreciated.
