At the start of Midseason I noticed when looking at a hero in the Hero Gallery that my Highlight Intros and Victory Poses are suddenly switched off of random onto a picked one, sometimes even heroic, and this happens for every single hero I’ve looked at.
I found out that what it does is that every time I login, instead of keeping the selected Highlight Intro or Victory Pose from previous login, it just picks one for me and I have to manually put it back again every time. This only happens if you have random originally selected though. It’s almost like the game is cycling through things with random at login instead of just doing it internally each match, leaving everyone’s changed at login.
This bug actually reminds of one from many seasons ago where random did not work at all and made your Highlight Intros Heroic instead
This is hard to explain I think so if you wanna see this yourself, select random on a hero’s highlight intro and/or victory pose, log out, log back in and see it change from being random

I noticed it as well it’s annoying. I thought it was just the highlight intros until I saw the victory poses are bugged to.

It’s similar to the one from OW2 launch, yet more random than before, but for quite a while it was completely patched up until a week ago

As frustrating as it is, it’s very often across many games I see where changing one thing seems to unintentionally effect something that from the outside seems entirely unrelated. Just kinda happens sometimes, I just hope this doesn’t take too long to be patched. The first bug for random at the start of OW2 seemingly took quite a while

I just noticed I have this same issue, all my victory poses and highlight intros were changed from random to other ones, it is kind of annoying.

Still happening with the recent Season 6 - Overwatch Invasion update… I thought it was a new bug as I noticed during the progression highlight I always got the heroic highlight despite choosing random…
But nope, seems like the bug is back for random highlight intros and victory poses being switched off random every log out. I’m gonna see if I still only get the heroic intro/pose despite being on random as well.
EDIT: Seems like the random highlights work for regular POTG’s/highlights, but does not work for the new progression level-up screen. You have to manually choose a highlight that isn’t “random” - so on top of the random intros/poses being switched off upon logout, the progression highlight seems like its an oversight/bug too…

I just noticed this bug as well with the s6 update. Since the new progression shows highlight intos, I thought, why not swap it to random to see more of my unlocked content? Nope, highlight intos and victory poses are bugged and will not stay on random. This could have persisted for awhile now, but just never noticed until I regularly see the highlight intros all the time now.

9/17/23 - Still buggy. Can confirm that in-game intros and poses WILL randomize, but the menu selections will not show “random”. I was hoping it’d be fixed by now or there was a solution. Hoping next season it will be; even if it’s a small thing, my OCD cannot cope.

Keep bumping these threads. Don’t give these devs any slack, make them acknowledge it.

I bet Blizzard ignore this post… Why we can’t report a bug direct via Chat, Mail or Phone? Very annoying, game and support…
I am glad to say that this bug will be fixed at launch of Season 7
Hold on now, let us wait and see. There have been bugs before that were fixed only to return in a patch weeks later.
