Ehhh needed a title.
This is Weavers skill expression ranked in terms of effectiveness.
-
Burn down Attempts to burn shields and cool downs before the enemy team can enter as well as getting a pick on anyone foolish enough to stand still.
-
Lock down or suppressing fire into an area to trap someone/lead them into there death.
-
“Oh your gonna play that” many have played Orisa and Torb and Zarya into a deathweaver don’t, weaver is very good at playing into the people he counterss
-
“you’re to close” you wanna get close to Lifeweaver? Really? With that comp? Are you serious? (NOT including dive but seriously keep your distance).
-
“I know all your moves” Dosen’t use tree until hog uses ult Waits for the dragon blade to end and backs up instead of casting it takes multiple 1 v 1s usually against none hitscan or hell even hit scan if you know exactly how each hero matches up to weaver you can be unstoppable…
-
AggroLifegrip I know I know I talk about it so much you’d think it be higher but this is an honest list, the situations aren’t un common enough that you shouldn’t learn it, things like mirroring your dpses position instead of trying to stand beside them to pull them up, Saving Lifegrip to pull the inevitable trash bomb, waiting out certain cool downs before you pull your tank into the backline or to high ground.
-
absolute defense Heal tree petal lifegrip ya know easy stuff… like body blocking, including turn around backwards to avoid headshots, pre petal placemant, HP manipulation, oh and killing the enemy player, oh and pulling someone with a defensive ability such as commanding shout close to you when you need it, waiting out certain cool downs before using tree of life, placing petal platform and pulling someone onto it with you to raise you both up.
-
switching sure you COULD play Lifeweaver into Pharah Mauga Echo… or orrrrrr we could just ya know not do that.
Flanking is an anomaly, there’s specific heros on the “Flank immediately” list and certain situations I do it, it’s not just something I do freely tho most “intellectuals” seem to take it that way.
Just because I “Usually win” with this strategy tell me when does “Usually” just start to blend in with everything, it’s not like I understand Lifeweaver to such a high degree I could 100% see the opportunity and necessity to go behind the enemy team in any 1 given situation and take advantage of it.
It’s easy to have a high win rate with something (Like for example how I do on Lucio) if you just do/pick the hero in the most specific of situations possible that you know will have a history of ending in your favor.
In terms of actually winning and skill expression how “Realistic” the situations are this is how often these respective things come up, in order.
As you’ve probably gathered Lifeweaver is very good at spam, so anything that requires spam or is weak to like consistent no fall off spam damage usuallllllyy that’s when he does the best.
If hes not spamming your close enough to where he just straight up kills you and if hes not actively and viciously trying to kill you he’s full countering everything you do.
Then there’s everything else.
