High ranked games should not be determined by what widowmaker wins the widow 1v1

i strongly believe widowmaker is overpowered above masters, maybe even diamond - not sure if it is really fixable

the only counter to widowmaker above masters, is another widowmaker - but if the other widow is better then your widow you lose so you better hope you have the better widowmaker and save your avoid as teammates for people who are bad at widow/cant play widow

in masters+ whatever widow wins the widow 1v1 determines what team wins the fight 80% of the time

yes there is dive but that gets shut down by brig and junkrat and if the widow player is good they will save their hook to get away from winston and dva

1 hero should not make so much value that they determine the outcome of the game, every game

dive can work on higher elos… but it depends on the map i guess.

i hope they nerf the one shots heroes… anyway.

im tired of this one shot fiesta thats going on for a while-

There is a thing as too much reward when all you really need to do is kill the enemy Widow to then basically be uncontested until that person comes back.
Playing Widow during dive arguably required a lot more skill than playing Widow in current meta.

A good specialist of any other hero doesn’t get to carry their whole team. Why should a widow specialist get to carry?

But there’s not a good way to fix this without hurting 95% of the playerbase. Unless you simply introduce some sort of rifle sway to soft-cap the skill of good players.

No, but people are acting like Widow is the pinnacle of skill in the meta where she’s arguably the easiest to play. The reason why Widow became so good is twofold, 1st reason is lowering the cooldown of a her hook, 2nd was adding too much anti-dive and peeling capability to the point where the only way to really shutdown a Widow, is with your own Widow.

What if Widow’s headshot only had 2x multiplier? Why does it really need 3? Isn’t that kind of overkill? Yeah, she wouldn’t one shot Reaper and Mei, but does she need to? If the answer to that question is yes, then make it 2.1x or something. She doesn’t need to do 300 damage per headshot without any kind of damage boost. She doesn’t need to also be a tank killer.

Because all it requires for a Widow specialist to carry in the current meta is winning a 1v1 and then just “pointing and clicking” safely with barely anything to challenge you.

It doesn’t have a 3xx multiplier it’s 2.5x

She’s a sniper, get over it

She isn’t a tank killer

THEN PLAY HER IN MASTERS AND GM AND SEE HOW EASY IT IS SINCE YOU PEOPLE THINK SHE IS THE EASIEST DPS IN THE GAME jfc you people are so profanity removed
