High ping issues

Hello, in the last couple of days I’m getting very high ping on Brazilian servers, my game would usually be at around 40~50 ping but now I’m getting 180+.
I just want to identify the problem better so heres the winmtr.

I also tested with my phone hotspot but got the same results. (I have the same ISP of fiber and phone data).

Hey, Shaky! Thank you for including the WinMTR Test here. It’s quite short and looks to have only been ran for 30 seconds. This makes the test less accurate and we’ll need a longer test to accurately diagnose the connection test provided.

For high ping issues, please run the WinMTR test for 10-15 minutes while in a Practice vs AI match and the high latency issue occurs. Copy and paste the text file created and paste it between two ~~~ like so:

Im having the same issues as you, the latency goes high at the same step as your WinMTR. Have you solved the problem?
I tried contacting the Algar support to solve this, and they claim that the problem is with the AWS servers and not with them. I don’t know what to do anymore. :pensive:

Hey Shaky! In order to effectively diagnose the issue, we’ll need to have you run a new winMTR test so we can further investigate the problem. Here are the instructions:

  1. Download the tool from this page
  2. Enter the game IP into the “host” field. The IP address for our games are listed on the winMTR instructions page
  3. Start the test and play the affected game for at least 15 minutes. Ensure the problem happens while the winMTR tool is running.
  4. After recording the problem data, click “export text” and save the winMTR file in an easy to find location.
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the winMTR. It’ll look like this:

I just made a new post with it and the tracerroute, I assumed this post was old

I usually would get 40 to 50 ping on my games, but latelly that spiked to 160.
I decided to give a try to a free trial third party app that claims to reduce ping and it actually worked, and I’m getting around 25 ping with it.

The problem is that I dont want to pay a third party program just so the game can be playable. So here is winmtr and traucerroute.

Hey again Shaky, I went ahead and merged your two threads to make sure we’re on the same page. Thank you for posting that WinMTR and tracert data! Both tests show us where the spike in latency is occurring, and that’s on the 7th “hop”:

The WinMTR here shows that you were getting latency spikes up to 180ms while running the test, and that’s well before the connection reaches our peering partners or data-center. The tracert test shows a similar jump in latency, and with that in mind, this would be an issue to bring up to your ISP. Keep in mind that you can request to speak with a “level 2 or level 3 technician” when contacting the ISP, as the front-line representatives typically only have access to basic diagnostics and troubleshooting tools. In addition, I encourage forwarding the WinMTR data to whomever you speak with when contacting the ISP, because if they’re able to interpret the data, this may enable them to diagnose and resolve the issue more quickly.
