High ping and constant disconnects

For the past several weeks I’ve been having connection issues. Ping goes up to 200 (normally it’s around 120) and the game disconnects for less than a second and usually connects right back. I’m not sure if it is my internet, because other games seem to be just fine, and I don’t disconnect on discord (ping there seems good as well). Restarting the router, verifying game files didn’t really help. Thank you in advance

You’ll want to run a WinMTR with the IP gathered from the game.

I don’t know if I did it right, but while i was checking it, ping on the practice range was around 220

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider~~~

The majority of the high latency is appearing on these nodes before reaching Blizzard. Their WHOIS information says they are located in Russia, but they may have only been registered to that location.

You will likely need to work with your ISP if the issue continues.

Thank you for your response, though I’m not sure I understand what this means. Is it my internet’s issue or my provider or something else? And if I contact my ISP, what should I tell them?

It’s a peering partner between your ISP and the servers. Generally, your ISP has a contract with this company to direct their traffic and pays them to do so. If you call the ISP, you’ll need to ask them to look over these results (forward them to the company). They would then need to relay info to the peering partner about the problem. These things can either resolve on their own or take a long time to fix, so be prepared for that.

The other games you connect to may not use the same route, as they are likely not hosted in the same place. And that’s why you don’t notice the connection issue elsewhere.
