High Latency Aus - syd1

Hi guys,
Started experiencing unusually high latency the past couple of days on Aus servers. I usually sit around 48ms but I’m now sitting at min 90ms - around 130ms consistently. I’m fairly sure it’s likely an ISP issue but i have no idea how to read a WinMTR so if anyone could shed some light that’d be great.

Same problem, about 3/4 servers will be ~90ms instead of ~45ms. I’m on iiNet if that helps.

I thought I was the only one. I usually sit around 45-50ms ping but with new update I’m sitting on 200+ms!!! Wth is going on?!! All other games I run like RocketLeague run fine. I’m also seeing a lot of Korean names on the player list. Are we getting on incorrect servers? In QLD on Telstra.

There are a few issues happening in your test.

  • The connection in your home is not very stable and reaching 107ms before you connect to the ISP’s lines outside your home.
  • There is minor packet loss throughout the ISP’s network.
  • There are high pings on many of your ISP’s hops before you are anywhere close to Blizzard’s network in terms of network distance.

I recommend fixing the connection in your home first, and then seeing if it improves overall.
