I know that Blizzard isn’t directly responsible for toxic chat. But, surely asking that they remove a potential source of toxicity isn’t asking too much. In fact, they allowed player profiles to be hidden for that same reason.
Streamer mode is not hiding player or hero progression.

Was working for my friends the other day. Can’t see their hero border or top 3 heroes.
Then it’s bugged or I am clearly missing something.
My friend and I have had no success in hiding anything of significance (we could get player titles hidden).
Can you give me any insight?
The setting that would hide the top 3 most played, and seemed to do borders too is called hide rank on portrait from others. Under streamer mode.
Looks like Progression is a new option under Streamer Mode, have you checked if that one is on or off?
Yes…I have turned on Hide Progression and Hide Rank on Portrait 
At least make it a toggleable option. I want to flex my level

Maybe it hides from other players but not your group? I’m not exactly sure about this, but my friends in group definitely can see mine. PLEASE. I BEG U BLIZZARD. I HAVE HAD MY PROFILE HIDDEN FOR YEARS AND NOW YOU"RE EXPOSING ME!!! I CAN’T PLAY WITH FRIENDS ANYMORE WITHOUT THEM COMMENTING ABOUT MY PLAY TIME >.>
Like, what’s the point of hiding streamer name from group/friends and hide progression when the progression can be seen by them? Please implement the feature properly!
I feel like the setting is bugged. Mine isn’t set to hide my progression card, but I’m on streamer mode and it’s hidden anyway?
It seems only to work if you also hide your name. Can anybody confirm this?

It’s crazy how so many people are so embarrassed about being level 1000 on mercy and peak bronze 1. It’s crazy that they will just call everything toxic for no reason. If someone types something to you then just mute them it’s that easy. They added cool borders. Why hide the cool borders?

Think i saw somebody said you had to be in streamer mode for it to work but I’m not sure. I know there is a way. I’ve seen multiple people with it hidden and i got mine to work somehow

Seriously it gives me an idea how experienced my team actually are, especially if they have private profiles.
Have streamer mode and private profiles on, but I seem to not have an issue with Top 3 heroes on display, I like that this information assists my teammates make decisions.
I haven’t seen any issues or toxicity caused by top 3 heroes , progression levels or borders? I personally enjoy seeing what heroes my teammates like and don’t care if they’re a otp or playing something not in their top 3. Fine to have the option I guess but I’d wager most people don’t really care!
