Come on already, I want my game back. The version of the game that had better balancing all around, and waaaaay less bugs and cheaters.
It’ll happen around the same time Pink Mercy returns
You mean the game with 21 characters?
err…when did you “payed for” ow1?
yeah that one. all the new characters suck anyway
It was never “your game”.
You bought the access to play a game that was subject to change at any whim of a company that made it.
Seriously people, you need to read agreements before you spend your money…
Statements like this is why the gaming industry is such a wreck.
Why spend money on games when you can throw them into a fire and the result will be the same?
I think what most people are upset about is; its like paying for a rental/lease car and then 30 days later the person that leases out the car comes over and rips out all of the car seats and tells a person “well i mean it is a live service, deal with it”.
And then another 30 days later they rip out the AC and call it a “patch”.
Which version did you pay for because I paid for a no hero limit, no role queue 6v6 with a 150HP zen, a 70 dmg fth Cassidy, and a 150 body shot widow? I paid for that version of the game and it did not last long at all.
- destruction of currency is illegal in many countries
- apart from the above, if it applies to your country of residence, no one stops you from doing so.
And it’s not “statements like this”. It’s the fact that people are ok with such terms in the first place (either by explicitly being ok, or by not knowing what they consenting to). It’s a problem with players. Companies just exploit what you give them.
If the rental agreement states that owner of the car can do this, then what is wrong with this?
You agreed to conditions of a contract, and to the fact that item can change. Then you threw a fit when other party exercised their right to change an item. It’s illogical.
Again, you agreed to that when you rented the car. You don’t won it, so what’s wrong here?
Again, the problem isn’t that someone did this.
The problem is that you didn’t read the contract and got caught with your pants down.
People. Need. To. Start. Reading. What. They. Consenting. To.
And then, if they don’t like the terms presented don’t enter that contract!
If they were ok, this thread and more like it wouldn’t exist.
In the EULA it says:
“Blizzard may change, modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Platform, Games, or Accounts at any time, including removing items, or revising the effectiveness of items in an effort to balance a Game”
Also:
“Your use of the Platform is licensed, not sold, to you, and you hereby acknowledge that no title or ownership with respect to the Platform or the Games is being transferred or assigned and this Agreement should not be construed as a sale of any rights.”
We all agreed with that when buying OW1, reading that or not
quoting out of context much?
People do consent, companies keep doing it.
You won’t change that by agreeing to the terms every time.
And how many times did they change it after you bought the game?
However many patches the game has received between release and now. Probably in the 100s by this point.
Too many times I would say
hmmmm, should I start looking for a lawyer?
Well, is true sometimes theh don’t go on the direction of balancing the game. U would do a favor all of us aha
Good luck with that.
wdym good luck with that? ever seen the Epic Games suing Apple?
these guys have neglected a game and then completely shattered it because one player population ratio was too low for a game that was rapidly losing it’s overall playerbase…
they also removed lootboxes and cards, did cards break balance? did lootboxes break balance? no?
Then go and sue them…
What is stopping you if you are so confident?
