Edit: On a more serious note His projectile speed didn’t even increase that much. So it goes from killing you in .5 seconds to .4 seconds? Not really a big deal tbh.

believe it or not it’s actually a pretty big deal when i just saw a hanzo belt out a bunch of regular bow arrows and headshot 3 people in a freaking row in a potg, killing each one by himself with single crit shots at close range

And he was able to do that prior to the arrow speed buff. Nothing was changed about his fire rate. At close range, the extra 20m/s arrow speed doesn’t even matter.

I guess all those videos and all that gameplay I’ve seen and had are just fake, and Hanzo’s always been able to do this at all levels of the competitive ladder. Not just Wraxu, but everyone! Okay, great, thanks!

I’m not sure what you don’t understand about this.

The topic is about Hanzo’s arrow speed. Not storm arrow. Not the damage it does. Nothing but the speed which doesn’t matter at close range.

That’s not the issue. THe issue is that “close range” for Hanzo where projectile speed doesn’t matter has increased dramatically. If Hanzo was effectively hitscan at 20 meters before his rework, he is now effectively hitscan at 25 and even higher. This is why Hanzo is so strong; not storm arrow, not his mobility, but because he has an effective hitscan 25-30 meter weapon with no fall off and no reload, and with a lead of two meters he can hit targets from 50 meters away before they have a chance to react. There isn’t a downside to Hanzo’s weapon.
