Heroes suddenly locked

Locked, restarted game, logged out and back into battle net, restarted battle net, restarted pc, still locked. Heroes weren’t locked yesterday.

I have the same problem as you mate, seems like we are not the only ones… multiple people complaining about having heroes suddenly locked. Was playing just fine with sombra yesterday but now I can’t :frowning:

Same here. I’m locked out of everything after playing fine for three days. Hoping this gets fixed soon cause alot of my favorites I cant play

Ye I just got the same problem right now. Just played maybe 3 hours ago,everything was fine. Now I wanted to play and see all my Heroes are locked. The funny thing is: all my skins and othe stuff are still there.

same thing here was playing then four hours later i log back on and the characters are locked with no way of retrieving them (PC Only Player)

I’m dealing with the same issue. I had a very old Overwatch 1 account, played the new version just fine yesterday, and today all my characters are locked. The only heals I have available are the ones I don’t play…

I have the exact same issue. All my skins are on, but I’m locked out of every character as if my account were new.

Same for me. Everything was fine until the recent evening update (10/7/22). Now most of my heroes are locked except Kiriko, Moria and a handful of others. They say that they are locked behind battle pass, challenge or purchase from the shop.

By me are the same yesterday all my chars are unlocked and after the mini Update from the 7.10 allmost all my chars are locked

Ye i think its maybe because that late evening update. Before the update everything was fine. :frowning:

Same here. Played a match then next match everyone but a few were locked. Even the battle pass is showing not purchased, even though purchasing before the first game played.

Yeah suddenly all of my heroes got locked, and it doesnt even list the challenges to unlock them.

Same problem. Been playing all of the heroes since launch and now I’m randomly locked out of most of them. Been playing since 2016 so I’m definitely not a new player lol.

I suspect you’re right. I have the same issue. Ancient OW1 account, had all the heroes unlocked earlier today. The game updated, and now half my list is locked, including my main and off-main.

I’m coming off of the “Shop” bug where I couldn’t use my currency to unlock skins, emotes and related stuff for Junker Queen, Sojurn and Kiriko. AND, like some of you above, I also have an ancient OW1 account. So to fix it, I merged it with another Switch account I had. It finally merged but now I’m having the same prob as you all right now.

Yeah I’ve got a thousand+ hours of playtime logged and got locked out of characters I have a 70% winrate with.

BUT I GUESS I DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE THEM

my characters are locked now after update is there any fix to this, i tried logging in and out multiple times. I even went as far as redownloading the game and still have my characters locked

Yeah same. Player since day 1. Game was working fine an hour ago (Except I still dont have my Watchpoint Pack), took an hour off during the 6pm PDT maintenance, then when I got back on my heroes are locked except the basics… I don’t think the maintenance worked as intended.
