According to Overbuff, these are the average per game as of now. Note for the purposes of this list, I included Baby D.va and her Mech as separate heroes. Also this is the average across the playerbase. I’ll probably add the ones for the highest end later and see how the list changes.
Also this list goes to show how easily dps die. The only two that don’t die so easily are Torbjorn and Sombra. And in the case of Sombra, it’s because she spends a ton of time doing nothing or running away.
Didn’t realize just how tanky overload makes Torbjorn, that’s one tough engineer.
On one hand, she has some of the highest mobility and is forced to play safe to get rez off… On the other, usually people focus her down and she literally stands still while rezzing.
It’s pretty sad watching supports like Zen have more survivability than dva’s mech. Symm with literally zero survivability and defensive abilities having less deaths than dva’s mech.
While everyone and their mom keeps saying how OP matrix is and how OP her second life is. I just destroy her mech and leave baby dva to flounder around, kill her team and then kill her afterwards when she tries to retreat. Or make her suffer and risk trying to get more ulti charge versus shields.
Hammond looks like the proper dive tank and not just someone who’s made of paper.
Well, it’s pretty obvious that the heroes with the highest self-sustainability or promote the most passive playstyles also have the lowest death counts.
Torbjorn can actually be explained the same way as Sombra. His kit also promotes a very passive playstyle (let the turret do all the work) for most of the playerbase.
McCree though… He is absolute garbage. But playing passive and having one of the best self defense tools in the game does not seem to help him too much. I wonder why. Gee golly. I wonder why.
Defense tools and self-sustainability isn’t really the same. Mccree can fend off nearby attackers, but he has zero self-healing, shields or reliable escapes, so he can’t do anything against taking damage from range.
Also when you compare him with certain other heroes like Torb or Sombra or most of the supports, Mccree doesn’t really have that much of a passive playstyle (he has to interact with the enemy, unlike supports, and can’t stay too far away because of damage fall-off)
Well yeah, in their cases the disadvantage of having to get up close outweighs the advantage of having good self-sustainability.
