Hero sympathy challenge

So here’s a fun little daily challenge.

Take your most hated hero in roster.

And fill your highlight reel with them. This trial consists of you obtaining at least that many POTG worthy moments.

Who knows? You might learn something about them that helps you play against them?

For me. I start my challenge with Mercy, seeing as with Mccree fits better for my own playstyle.

Now I’ve already done this multiple times and did learn a thing or two about hunting Mercys from doing so.

I challenge you to do the same.

But that might cause me to realize my hated heroes aren’t free value for no effort or realize I’m bad with them. I don’t like it.

One of my most hated heroes is widow, and I have around a 56% winrate on her right now. Just because I am good at a hero doesn’t mean I like their playstyle

5 highlights of Moira just holding right click and killing 2 or 3 people while her hp remains at full would teach me what exactly?

This is what we call the learning process. You do this when you first start playing to familiarize yourself with the aspects of each individual hero.

Sombra is still annoying even after learning her kit. As a matter of fact, she was even easier than I expected before having any experience playing the character.

This is very good advice. It always gives you insight into the drawbacks of that hero you think has none.

I already have 104hrs on Kiriko. I don’t think doing this “challenge” would really teach me anything I haven’t learned by now, but I suppose I’ve nothing better to do…

~1 hour later:

I actually did learn something new…has nothing to do with Kiriko though :p
I learned that you can actually get spawn camped so hard that the game tries to kick you for being afk, even if you’re shooting the enemy team from spawn. I had to step outside of spawn just so I wouldn’t get kicked, and I died instantly :p
Aside from that though…yeah, I didn’t really get anything out of this :person_shrugging:

This is all just my opinion, obviously, but one shots are lazy hero design, especially hitscan. I’d like her if she had bullet drop, or if she couldn’t one shot, but a hitscan ranged oneshot is the single cheesiest ability in the game.

Widow just existing creates more space than any tank in the game. It’s just not good for the game. The only time I play widow anymore is if the other team goes widow. You have to go widow or sombra to counter (again, because widow’s poorly designed) and I’m morally opposed to playing sombra
