this is my opinionated list on how each hero stacks up in terms of skill required to play most effectively. they are arranged in orders of very high, high, medium, low, and very low skill.
Very High Skill:
Tracer
Mcree
Winston
Reinhart
Ana
Zenyatta
Soldier 76
High Skill:
Genji
Pharah
Hanzo
Widowmaker
Zarya
Lucio
Roadhog
DVA
i can see where you are going with it
you talking about game knowleg the highest and then aim the sec i see it
but you can change it to
high skill aim
high skill game knowleg
and then mini skill
low etc…
But with Moira you need to be especially careful with what orb you throw, where you throw it to make sure it is always depleted and how you can make the most of the duality ability Moira has.
Brigitte is about positioning heavily and her micromanagement, she has so many abilities with low cooldowns making the use of most of them, being able to do the one shot combo and knowing when you can trigger Inspire.
Mercy is the lowest of those but even then it’s arguable. Knowing when to damage boost instead of healing despite the fact the target needs healing but you know the additional damage will win the fight, what do you choose?
Just because you don’t understand the characters and just how hard it is to use them effectively in more siutations then “first point defence” doesn’t make them easy, also STOP THINKING AIM IS THE ONLY SKILL. it’s the least important skill in the game. aim is useless if your positioning, map knowledge, game sense, ect. is crap.
edit: fyi torbjorn requires alot of aim skill to get the most out of him btw. more then Mcree ever uses. and orisa has a high tracking skill requirement. and symm is all about knowing how to control space.
lol torb and orisa are my 2nd and 3rd most played heroes ever. ive had a 70%+ winrate on torb with almost 100 games in high master. this is an ironic comment to me. cause i have really bad aim i main winston. i know aim isn’t the only skill. and no u dont have to aim very well to be effective on torb its more about positioning, ult management, armor, and turret placements. while yes some games i can pop off and hit headshots the entire game on torb and win fights it doesn’t make as much difference as the other skills. also i only play torb on 2cp so this might sway my perception from yours
yep it does because he requires a entirely different mindset and more aim when u play him on payload maps and KOTH especially on attack. he turns into that black line dps role mcree has. except exchanging hitscan for projectile in exchange for a turret to protect ur back line supports. (mcree and torb have the same damage for their primary fire)
