For me as a gold player, the best would be a different hero pool for each game, like that no more meta, no more problem, a better game for everyone.
And there it is…
BIased annoying childish & vocal minority always ruining these kinda threads…
Give me a one good reason why they should take your reply seriously.
A long history of ignoring player feedback that got us to this point. Whether or not these are the right options, the fact that they’d be implementing player-generated suggestions is a better step in the right direction than continuing to ignore players.
Crouch and strafe spam are rampant problems that completely invalidate 2 of 3 types of aiming in flavor of just flick shooting, for a game that was ADVERTISED to not be a twitch shooter.
Hitboxes not matching player models is unacceptable.
Reworked maps need to/should be released soon.
Ok 1st of all. They dont ignore the feedback. Just cause they dont reply or more like babysit biased forum whiners, doesnt mean that they dont read the threads at all & such. They have more important things to work on right now.
2nd of all. Paris/horizon reworks are coming, it takes time to rework such things like those maps & make them more playable/enjoyable or what ever people call it. People need to be patient with it.
3rd of all, most of this guy is crying about to get changed/removed, etc are BAD like really bad ideas & most of of them are never gonna happen. Sorry but this just had to be said. Idc if you like or not but it’s just is like this.

Movement acceleration has been a documented problem since closed beta 2, when influencers were actually publishing their early access thoughts on the game. Dozens of competitive FPS players outright said movement options feel both very limiting, exploitable, and pros have outright said on multiple streams that the game has very broken movement mechanics that de-incentivize specific playstyles in favor of one (flicking) that artificially raises the minimum skill barrier for entry for higher level play.
-
Hitbox problems have been a problem since launch, when people started testing en masse the hitbox and hit registry around corners. The one time they DID address a hitbox problem, they outright lied when they said it had been fixed in the PTR patch (I personally tested this).
-
Widowmaker’s scope tech being removed despite heavy backlash, and then the subsequent misinformation they intentionally provided to justify it, which I’ve debunked and documented the tech existing in all other competing FPS titles published under the Battle. net/Activision umbrella.
-
Still not adding a basic wall/floor/ceiling/basic collision prefabs, despite having all of the necessary vector code building blocks to do in the Workshop.
-
Removing the “rate this match” feature instead of expanding upon it to actually incorporate player feedback.
-
Not fully bugtesting Lucio’s wall speed hotfixes, then pushing it to Live, removing all previous parity.
-
Not properly re-working Ashe’s hitreg despite players continuously complaining that it doesn’t feel right.
-
Taking over 10 months to address megalists of bugs, not bugfixing half of them and saying that they were non-issues.
Don’t tell me they don’t ignore player feedback.
Patience is wearing thin on a game that hasn’t delivered (or underdelivered) on half of the promises made since launch.
People that provide comprehensive lists of feedback are not ungrateful, nor is it unreasonable to be demanding faster turnaround times. Sometimes you need to light a fire under someone’s butt to get them to produce content faster or higher quality. They’ve elected to ignore that for so long that the slow cycle has now intentionally withheld content for the sequel by their own admission.
They can do better. They repeatedly said they would, and in the eyes of many players they haven’t.
How do you know they’re bad ideas if Blizzard doesn’t TEST them publicly? What part of his armchair balancing decision is so intrinsically different from your armchair impression of balance?
I don’t even care for his balance suggestions, except the pro players being brought on as consultants. I just know that playtesting is more comprehensive and a better course-correction/learning experience than not having or doing anything in public.
So do you have anything relevant to contribute or?
I’ll take all but this one, thanks.
Doomfist at least has a hell of lot more potential as a (Hammond/Roadhog-esque) tank than do Mei and Bastion. Mei has the holding value but almost none of the necessary initiation; she feels and plays like a DPS. Meanwhile, Bastion has all the tactical niche, so long as he remains remotely true to his roots, of a rooted sniper.
and this is why they added hero pool. because they cant balance the heroes and synergy between heroes which made them op.
removing is a good option because thats how you will know which hero is strong on itself, or with the combination of specific heroes which make them op. infact removing role queue would also be pretty good so that they can actually do something about goats instead of straight up restricting the comps and strategies
They can add new DPS heroes if they will at least release 5 new supports and 5 new tanks and the roster would still not be balanced…
He/SHe remove ROLE QUEUE and NOT ROLE LOCK. We could have a 2-2-2 Role Lock system easily without queuing for a role.
We all knew Echo should have been a support.
- Add movement acceleration and a longer crouch cooldown
- Move every single DPS that should be a tank (Doomfist, Mei, Bastion) to the tank category
- Make all tanks resistant to CC in some way
- Move Symmetra and Echo back to support
- Stop releasing new DPS characters until the rosters are balanced
- Make tanks and supports more exciting than “oh I shield/oh I heal”
- Get the pro players you’re paying to actually give you instructions on how to balance this mess
- Remove role queue
- Bring in the Paris/Horizon reworks
- Make the hitboxes actually match the player models
Thank you
I agree with all of these changes, would be pretty nice! ^^
Its incredible how much I like some of these suggestions and how much I hate others.

Get off the forums and go to sleep you absolute gremlin
also the changes you stated are all horrendous, only 2 were good.
I liked the ban system that they tried out in Contenders where they each got to ban 1 Tank, 1 Support, and 2 DPS that the other team couldn’t play, then after 2 maps the got to unban 1 hero every map afterwards.
Hero Pools will be removed indefinitely from Competitive Play, with no tentative date for re-implementation.
Thank the Gods. Now give CC some good nerfhammering and I might come back.
reduce the overall healing and thats when this game is actually gonna be alive
I can understand that, especially when the experimental was added, making it easier/better to balance stuff there. Maybe if they made HP a 24 hour thing instead of a week, it might have worked.
Also, I clearly understand the reason for role queue, because there can be stupid stuff like having a near full DPS team, which is impossible to beat and stuff and I definitely don’t want to go back there. (Plus, I won’t be able to get 25 credits for every Tank or Support game I play in QP to buy a legendary after playing 40 for a legendary I didn’t get yet.)
no offense but I srsly dont get what you trynna say
I missed hero pools. Only way to gaurentee I didn’t have to play a Rein/Zarya/Mccree mirror match every single game.
Well, it’s double shield OR rein/zarya, but honestly I find that the sigrisa combo is more skillful since you actually have to communicate and think ahead your ability usage much more. it’s just boring to play against but so is rein/zarya in the current state of the game.
longer crouch cooldown
What?
Move every single DPS that should be a tank (Doomfist, Mei, Bastion) to the tank category
The only reason I’d see here is Bastion in tank because of his ult form lol
Move Symmetra and Echo back to support
Symmetra is not a support anymore since her ult change. Where the idea of Echo as support come from? Soldier is more of a support than her.
Stop releasing new DPS characters until the rosters are balanced
Although not even in numbers I believe that the tank/healer roster is way more balanced than the DPS. Maybe add 2/1/2 heroes instead of 1/1/1 as it have been.
Make tanks and supports more exciting than “oh I shield/oh I heal”
Oh they are so so much more than that.
Get the pro players you’re paying to actually give you instructions on how to balance this mess
The game is usually balanced around high ranks and pro play, but they shouldn’t do only around it as majority of the playerbase isn’t on that level.
Remove role queue
Go play QPC and later they’ll add classic comp.
Bring in the Paris/Horizon reworks
That takes time.
Make the hitboxes actually match the player models
That’s way harder than it seems, especially with all the different skins.
It is nice although I think it’s unpractical for normal ranked as many want since it’s a team decision and rarely the games are a full team. Would make games unnecessarily longer.
