Hero Idea (Imagine the surveyors from borderlands 2 when you read it)

So I came up with an idea on the fly when I was posting a comment on a YT video about hero 29, and I like it so much I figured I’d flush it out some and see what the community thinks.

Class: Support

Primary fire: TBD (I’m thinking something like a smaller version of Winston’s gun or some sort of poison DOT but idk yet)

Shift: Attaches a drone to the targeted ally that heals them over time (like harmony orb) but does not require line of sight to remain on them. The character has 3 total that can be distributed in any way (3 on 1, 2 on 1 and 1 on 1, 1 on 3, etc.). The healing provided increases per number of drones on a character, but that number changes depending on the character’s distance from you (x meters they can have all 3, when they reach y meters they can only have two, if they pass z meters only one). The drones will remain on a target for a fixed amount of time if they are on full health before auto-targeting the nearest ally who has taken damage. The drones can be shot down and will recharge similarly to Symmetra’s turrets if destroyed.

Ultimate: The preliminary idea I have in my head right now is sort of a mix between Valkyrie and Supercharger. The character could deploy something that would float up into the air and do the equivalent to 3 drones of healing to every ally in sight of the ultimate. Not sure how long it would last or exactly how much that healing would be, but that’s the idea.

Why I don’t think this design is broken: Single-drone healing would be slightly more than Harmony Orb, and as such wouldn’t save a flanker you put it on from dying if they run off half-cocked and get focused by more than 1 person. The character also specializes in healing as opposed to zen who’s main use is discord orb and his damage output (until he gets trans), so doing a better job of healing than he does makes sense. Triple-stacking drones would mostly be used to heal a tank or a character with significantly lowered health while preparing for fights, as it would do roughly as much as a mercy beam (at least that’s the picture I have in my head), and the point of having the distance limits on the number of drones a character can have on them is to avoid having a flanker that can outlive everything by themselves through absurd amounts of remote healing. If you disagree, explain why. I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

As you can tell this obviously isn’t completely thought through yet, but I have some basic ideas I’m still thinking through. Comment any thoughts and suggestions.
