Hero Gallery Nesting Issues

Hello,

2/18/2025 as of 4:48pm est, the Hero Gallery seems to have a nesting issue with the display of the new splash tag for when acquiring a new item. when you look at Heros you will indeed see a New option which is wonderful to let you know that there is a new item but when you go to hero selection in the hero Gallery it doesn’t show the New splash tag for which hero has the new item. (ex: i got a funky baptiste skin from the lootbox. Heros had a tag that read new on it (which was wonderful)-> clicking on Heros led me to the Heros gallery where there was no indication of which hero had gotten something new.)

The new tag was correctly nested under Baptist->Skins to show that there was a new item in the Skins category, however when clicking on skins it didn’t show which of the skins was new. Additionally the New Tag on Skins Category didn’t go away until i equipped the skin.

it’s a small issue but i’m worried if people open up more then one lootbox at a time, they’ll run into an issue of panic trying to figure out what they received (the screen does tell you when you open the box at the time which I thank you for)

thank you so much for all the work that you’re putting into the game, I hope the nesting issues are eventually able to be corrected so the pathing looks smoother and more correctly aligned with what I believe is the desired flagged process of Heros[New]-> Name of Hero[New]->Skins[New]->Name of Skin[New]

agreed, it’s so annoying having to scroll through sprays especially trying to find the new stuff so i can get rid of the glaring “new” sign. hopefully they fix it so you can actually see what’s new or at least make an option where you can just toggle “mark all as viewed”

i hope there is an option to view all or have like was in overwatch 1 where the hero picture itself was tagged as new so you knew which hero it was that got something new. right now you’re forced to click on each hero portrait and then the tab where it shows new, but even though it shows Skin[new] for example there’s no way to tell what you got as new when you’re looking at the list of skins. it should say [name of skin] {New} next to it from what i can gather

They had lootvoxes in overwatch 1 with very clear markings for new items. They should be able to implement the same thing in overwatch 2.
