From the recent twitter test for winter loot boxes.
It’s clear Blizzard is offering content creators ability to share codes to viewers for them to redeem in-game content like lootboxes or spray maybe skins.
This is why they were all so on the copium, just bliz and tubers scratching each other’s back.
dam that actually sounds like it makes sense. of course they would be all happy because of views heh
if true thats a big letdown for me but to be honest i should have never had any false hope anyways. if your hoping for something new probably best to play another game lol
i can imagine blizzard doing a valorant style ow2 pvp beta keys giveaway with content creators and maybe they’re currently testing code giveaways/new code batch system or something. idk im always overly optimistic but hey that would certainly explain why the content creators were hyped after the meeting
I hope not, i dont give a hoot about a single content creator and I’d hate to miss out on the “overwatch saving surprise” for this year just because I don’t pay attention to that part of the community
They’ll try and re-create the Valorant beta thing. And why wouldn’t they? I can see why the CC’s are excited about that. Emongg literally bought a house just from the Twitch ad/sub money from that period.
I wouldn’t be surprised of a mini event did happen but I seriously doubt that was what got all those creators genuinely excited like that. The amount of good will lost would not be worth it for the short term gain alot of these creators would see. If the secret leaked to slasher of all people and even he respected the good news enough to not reveal it early than I genuinely believe something awesome is on the horizon.
thats probably what it is. i remember that valorant thing. kind of watched a whole bunch of streamers to see what the game was like because curious. wasnt hoping for a code but most of all popular streamers chats had people begging for them. it was insane. then you had some streamers mad they were left out like drdisrespect. he actually made faulty streamer titles called “free drops here” w/o him actually having drops. all views incresed dramatically for a whole bunch of streamers at that time (im sure tons of them got huge donations$$$)
then the public beta came out. i looked for reviews and when i found out about their wierd anti cheat system i was like nope not for me lol. also its just basically csgo with abilities and ults. cool and all but that anti cheat system!?.. im sure its fixed now but i’m still not really excited about that game
still not, you still have to restart everytime you disable it or enable it.
I also am not giving some third party this much demands over my hardware, it should be a privilage for them that i choose their game to be installed in my pc not the otherway around, im not willing to bend backwards to play some dumb game.
im just sad many people installed it without a second thought sometime in the past this would have been a huge no no.
thats how the industry works now. they feed off people who impulse buy, purchase pre-orders, lootboxes and battle passes. i mean i dont blame them (companies) if people just throw their money away$$$. its a profitable business but it does prey off young people mostly.
The worst part is people think this kind of intrusive BS is somehow good (there are still cheats for Valorant) and demand a similar system for Overwatch.
Also with blizzard, I can put money on it that the NDA meeting was just more CC tourney EXCs, stream drops, and the same ol events with increasingly more boring and disappointing skins
