She has to aim folks. She does not have a lock on beam. Please stop pretending she does. Thank you.
A lot of hard-to-swallow pills for Moira these days.
Actually, she does have a soft-lock beam.
Though it’s not a massive lock on and she does have to aim. That doesn’t change the fact that a soft lock is still a lock on.
So you are correct and incorrect.
Edit: The amount of the exact same reply and anger I have gotten over this post is hilarious. Guys and gals, no need to reply, everyone has said everything that can be said.
No you are incorrect. she has absolutely no lock on at all she has a hitscan beam.
That’s not what they said when they released her.
She has aim assist not lock on.
sits back and sips tea
Oh my.
Although it has an extremely large hitbox, similar to her ults size so I see their point.
No one says this, but she doesn’t take much aim when her hit box on her primary is literally double the size of a test range dummy … please stop pretending she needs any real aim skill to speak of. Thank you.
If breaking LOS or having another target pass by break the beam then it’s not a lock on as it is NOT LOCKED ON. There is no such thing as a soft lock on.
No, her beam have huge hitbox and animation of it just makes you think it is lock on.
Give them an inch they will take a mile its a hitscan beam end of xD
Bro, if a gold player can track just as well as a GM player on Moira, then there’s obviously some sort of lock.
When you’re 1v1ing a Moira, their biotic grasp never breaks off, because again, there’s a soft lock. Unless you mean to tell me everyone who plays Moira has 100% accuracy.
You’re overestimating gold players… I’ve seen many, many terrifying things
A lot of people say it. She requires a certain amount of aim to operate at her maximum potential. So I mean, you’re pressed.
First of all tracking hit% doesnt change all that much once you get to around gold the difference is positioning and game sense.
Second of all she has absolutely 0 lock on.
They are arguing with the wording Blizzard used when they released her, not me.
Look at the animation, the beam moves. If the hitbox was large, the beam would be larger.
If it curves, it’s a soft lock. It doesn’t have to go around corners. Sym had a lock on that didn’t.
There’s obviously a window for it if everyone who plays Moira has perfect accuracy.
Think of it this way, the actual damage is like her ult, but the animation just isn’t as big and goes to the centre of their model
If you hold the beam in between two targets at the same distance, does it hit both or lock onto one?
