Here, have a patch notes

(Now with the prettier patch notes)
Hitscan have smaller bullets again.
But then you scroll down from that and see everyone has had their torso, head and legs adjusted. Mostly to be bigger, but for some characters sometimes one or two were made smaller.

I’m not sure why Tracer’s legs were made even smaller… and Widow was not touched at all it seems

Jumping here to add that the number’s shouldn’t be taken literally, just because Wuyang’s head torso is now 16 doesn’t mean that he suddenly has a bigger head than Zenyatta.

The numbers don’t work like that.

As Blizzard stated, this is mainly to help with consistency in landing shots on smaller targets. In general, Supports are smaller, ut there are exceptions.

A few problem hitboxes (like Torb head and arm) got fixed, but several characters got hitbox size increases.

Should be around even considering hitscan requires more precision.

Yes they made bullets smaller but characters (except for Cass) bigger to match. So basically it’s no change.

only hitscans got the nerfs, projectiles aren’t getting the bullet size nerf besides judging from the patch notes, it looks to be a push to dive.

Kinda surprised they made Moira smaller and Echo bigger. Like, why?

It is concerning that the projectile size decrease was 40 and 50% while most of the heros size increases are in the realm of like 10 to 20 percent.

I’m concerned that projectiles are now just 10 to 20% easier to hit while Hitscan is a net 20/30 more difficult.

Kiriko is also not getting any nerf reverts on her healing. So sad about this.

its 44% radius nerf to hitscans that were 0.07 and 50% nerf to Tracer/Sombra but they shoot in a spread so not sure how it affects them.
Pepe im worried Hanzo will get nerfed due to several characters getting there head hitboxes increased.

Trash as expected. I guess it will be more Fortnite for me.

Hey, maybe this will have the “S9 ruined the game” people rejoice. I don’t think there’ll be that much of a difference, but I also feel a smaller projectile hitting a moderately sized target is better than a larger projectile hitting smaller target sizes. More consistent.

Some of the hitbox changes look so random. But projectiles should also be reduced. Heroes just got even easier to hit for projectile, and probably similar for hitscsn as it was an hour ago.

Probably an effort to make projectile heroes more accessible. Hitscan heroes tended to be people’s “default” heroes because it’s easier to use.

I think it depended on which hitscan and which projectile hero for easier to use or not. Either way, projectiles should be reduced as well, not made even easier to hit when the hitboxes on them are already huge.

If it’s a bad change I hope it’s bearable, because Blizzard will definitely be keeping an eye on the data to make changes in the future and not by like. mid-season

For all we know though these could be good changes. Eager to try them out

You can’t really compare projectile size % to character hitbox size %. As long as a character is 0.05m wider/taller then it’s easier to hit.

Projectiles have a travel speed, and are avoidable. Maybe some easier than others(Pharah shoots faster projectiles than rat). And hitscan is just reticule over the enemy? It’s a hit.
But I think the travel time is why they needed less looking at.
Maybe I’m wrong though, and they tinker with it down the line. But because of that it fits to me anywho.
