Here’s how I would balance DPS Sombra

Specifically DPS Sombra because Support Sombra would be far superior.

Stealth is now an ability again. It has a meter like Defence Matrix, that drains as Sombra remains invisible. If Sombra goes visible, there’s a 3 second cooldown before she can go invisible again, this includes if she has her invisibility broken. Sombra has 7 total seconds of invis, and it takes 21 seconds to fully recharge.

Hack and Virus are now the same ability. Hack is now a ‘skill-shot’ (assuming Virus gets a hit-box nerf). If Sombra wants to turn off someone’s legs, she better actually hit them. HACK CANNOT BE USED WHILST INVISIBLE, STOP EVOLVING BACKWARDS! There is no DoT, it’s only Hack applied to a thrown projectile. The ability lock-out lasts 1 second, Sombra does extra damage to hacked targets for 4 seconds and the infra-sight lasts 8 seconds, give or take.

Translocator doesn’t activate invisibility when thrown, plus it activates 3 seconds after being thrown, if it hits any surface or if Sombra manually activates it earlier, giving it more range and control than it has currently.

EMP now creates an Interdiction Sphere that lasts 7 seconds. It’s a lingering aura that slows cooldowns by 50%, and applies all other Hack debuffs whilst inside. Leaving the sphere removes all debuffs instantly.

Maybe they’ll take your advice for her next annual rework.
