I have lost all previous Career Profile data from OW1 on PS4. Currently I am trying to play on PS5. My Battle-net is set up, and it is connected to correct PSN on battlenet. I have been playing since season 1 vanilla so this is super disheartening.
Currently the game is behaving as though I’m starting from scratch. I have reluctantly played the tutorial to try the new game and a couple quick play matches. By doing so I’m obviously assuming previous data will be updated/recovered.
When will this be resolved and my Overwatch 1 Profile, Skins, Unlocks will be updated?
I played overwatch 1 from launch on the xbox one and stopped playing for years but recently decided to try overwatch 2. So I booted it up and it said that a battlenet account is needed. I just created a battlenet account and linked it to my account on xbox but after doing so, i was not given the option to merge accounts and showed a fresh account. I inserted the original disc, updated the game and loaded it up.
For a returning player, it’s extremely disappointing to lose all past records of the old game after being promised cross progression into the new game.
Played overwatch 1 on xbox. Merged battlenet account to xbox live account. Managed to get on an server OW2 and no characters unlocked or progress. Click on account merge option in OW2 menu and no response. Hope you can fix, as had some really cool skins and good progress left on xbpx.
I never connected my ow1 ps4 account to a battle.net thing I had so many good skins and now when I try to start overwatch it wants me to sign in with a completely new account does that mean everythings gone??
Has anyone found out a solution yet? It’s been a couple of years and still when I boot overwatch up it says would you like to merge you account and I say yes this is the account I want to merge, then I close the app load it back up and it pops up with the same message does anyone have a solution? I’ve contacted support and sent them pictures of the account and everything and nothing no help
