Hey everyone, I’m not sure how dumb this is but ive been having some confusion about what to do related to cross progression.
I used to play overwatch on my Xbox before i switched to PC.
Before i knew about cross progression in ow2 i changed my gamertag on Xbox. But when i check my connections on the Battle net account, the old name is what shows up. Will that become an issue when the merge happens?
Should i unlink it and wait to merge them after the wait period? (if that’s even possible)
I’m having the same problem I posted the same thing like 10 days ago idk if it’ll work either hope you get an answer but you should definitely NOT unlink your account because there is a 365 day cooldown on reconnecting your account again
I figured it out just log into the game on your Xbox
Idk if the merge works while its still your old name but I got it to change to the gamertag I have now for the merge and for it showing up in my connected accounts by just logging into the game on my Xbox
I have the same issue, I contacted support and didnt really get much help 
I’m going to try this today, I’ll update if it works or not

I’m basically having the same problem the other day I merged my account but didn’t realize I never made a bnet account because it still let me play well I ended making an account yesterday after my thing was already merged and linked my Xbox to it and my battle tag changed so I thought I was good but everyday i go to merge account to make sure it’ll say connected but nope today it says account changed. Can y’all help me ?
