Hearing talks of Nerfing Kiriko's Damage because Support

Meanwhile been asking to buff the other supports DPS to Kiriko’s.

Why does everything fun have to be nerfed.

That’s probably not going to happen just based on what the Lead Hero Designer said during the Twitter Space thing

Kiriko’s damage is probably safe

  1. Landing headshots on a projectile ain’t easy
  2. If anything, her Ult is where a nerf would be coming from

Already have tons of doubts after that meeting.

But will hold comments till after Season 2 changes.

(Because we still lack new hero info and more.)

I could be wrong but bap or zen can do a lot more dmg Kiriko has good spike dmg.
So the only scenario I think of they would nerf Kiriko hs damage is if they up her normal damage to even it out more.

I am not basing it on much feel free to correct me.

“Pros” (in Heavy quotations) complaining she can be a flanker.

But hey, if your not able to notice her right next to you while your trying to aim down lane.

That’s more a personal issue.

(I swear getting tired of this returning to sniper watch.)

I don’t know whose talk you’ve been hearing, but if they want to nerf Kiriko at high levels, they can remove the triple damage headshot and buff the body shot instead. At mid ranks I almost never see Kiriko getting an exceptional amount of damage.

Well, after Flankers and Sojourn get nerfed, you can bet Widow/Hanzo are going to be the new recipients of “Needs a Nerf Bloodlust”.

her let charges very fast , it is even faster than Tracer’s she should have been since day 1 , other than that I do not see why she would get a nerf

   Kiriko doesn’t have high DPS unless you’re shooting hog in the face.

Kiriko’s damage output naturally drops as you go down the ranks because people spend more time healing. It’s a totally different playstyle than what OWL is doing, because people eat trash damage like it’s closing time at the Golden Corral and Kiriko can’t prioritize doing damage.

I would just like to point out that the lead hero designer’s specializes in “Monetization” according to his linkedin profile and resume… So just keep that in mind anytime he mentions “balance” changes :stuck_out_tongue:

How much of problem her dmg is in highler levels?
I assumed her ulti and survivability were reasons to pick her and not damage output?

That is so frustrating. Why would you ever make someone who specializes in Monetization the lead hero designer? Throw someone who actually cares about the game and its balance as lead hero designer and throw him over in the shop with the over priced bundles. I understand they need to make money somehow but. this is just completely ridiculous

Wow they managed to figure out the extremely obvious design of her kit. Overwatch “pros” will never not make me laugh.

They do care… About making as much money as they can in a short amount of time.

I mean they only have what six or so months left before that acquisition is finalized. They have to pad up that evaluation as much as they can.

Isn’t that most heroes ? Even Zen is a flanker now.

No, Zen is an awful flanker because of the lack of mobility. The best he could hope for is a cheeky trade at an off angle.

Playing Support clearly isn’t enough of a horrible experience already, so they have to crank it up a notch. Why, they can still almost defend themselves! Can’t have that.

Potentially high damage as a support… who can heal!?! That will completely replace DPS characters, just look at the queue times!
