Its not enough that they don’t even heal. Why cant people stick to their roles?

Because Blizzard shifted the focus of the game such that going for kills generates more value in many instances than going for heals

So #1 they aren’t healers, they’re supports.
Blizz took away being able to pocket tanks and blow ults as a way to play the game so support mains HAVE to rely on either their team to get picks or themselves.

I was skeptic about these topics popping up plenty on the forums, but after playing for a few hour… we have a real problem at hand. There are so many supports playing the game and just straight up ignoring teammates. The worst losses I’ve had so far today have been just supports sandbagging and throwing the match. Not even DPS have managed to throw so bad

A discord only Zen is soooo annoying but a one song lucio can be worse
First off, check the scoreboard. If their healing is close to the enemy’s, quit complaining.
If a support player is really not healing and it’s detrimental to their team, they will be ranked very low. The solution for you is simply to out-rank them with better play. Focus on improving your own game.

I have no idea either, but I started my support gameplay experience, and I’m outdps’ing a lot of DPS players and getting top heals of the lobby.
Maybe that’s en elo problem.
Always did.
Keep telling yourself that when your basic fire is a healing beam/spray that doesn’t work on enemies.

Match making is throwing us in with the newbies, if the people desperate for OW2 to be a success are right, there is an influx of new players.
FPS players, who might see healing as secondary.
I know this forum is largely support players, and everyone loves blaming DPS for everything, but honestly how the supports are playing now have been par for the course since the beginning from my experience.

whats annoying is tank and dps players pressing W ignoring the flankers!
Spams Need healing only to see that both supports are dead, what a joke of a community.

Avoid and move on or play a game where you aren’t reliant on random players.
Only since the compositions became mandatory did Support healing suffer.

I swear 3/4ths of the time when I’m on anyone but mercy I don’t need a peel in the fight and I just win the 1v1 myself.
Supports complaining about peels is the exact same thing as other roles complaining about heals.

Because blizzard took healing from us. Trying to focus on people doesn’t generate much value anymore so the only thing left is to be dps-lite. It’s not fun at all but it’s what blizzard wanted

Cause Blizz shifted the focus of OW2 to more damage oriented? And players mocking supports that they “can’t hide in the back lines/behind their tanks” anymore and will just need to cope and adapt.
And looky here, they’re doing just that.

None Support players playing for the battle pass XP and the current Dive meta probably aren’t helping (kill or be killed).
