Healers, look around and heal those behind you

They are low on health and they are not spamming to be healed because they hate you, they are spamming because they want to be healed. If you can’t do that and are mad people want to get healed, you should not play healer. You should also not be surprised to get reported for refusing to heal your teammates.

Also, if you can’t look for a health pack first, that’s on you.

Same problem with dps and tank not looking behind to help the support.

L u l. If they are in a crucial fight the supports need to turn around… or not play support.

If people have the only option to be near a healer, then the healer should pay attention. Also, there are no non-healing supports, so calling them healers is still accurate. There is only one non-support healer in the game and that is Soldier 76.

Using the I need healing voiceline highlights your health when you are critical. It helps.

Unless the healers are overextending, what are you even doing behind them?

Honestly its a problem with how the game is designed and expected to function. Like a FPS you can’t really look around easily without wasting precious few seconds, like a MOBA it expects you to know and understand whats happening around you as if you were in third person like one. Heck there isn’t even a mini map to help with situational awareness. The result is a FPS that HEAVILY requires team communication for basic things that would be readily available if you weren’t locked in FPS.

‘Reddit Lucio’ is the way to play the hero. That’s literally how his kit is designed to be played optimally. And Lucio, ‘redditing’ or not, should be in the front lines with tanks disrupting or with flankers, not standing in the rear of his team or looking at those behind him. Furthermore, Lucio has a very visible aura signifying where you need to stand to get healed. Making Lucio lose his safe positioning -or the position he placed himself in to benefit the rest of his team, because you are poorly positioned in a way where you can’t ask for healing safely is on you, not the Lucio.

I assure you, the supports want you to be healed. But if they’re not doing it right away it’s almost never a ‘well I’m mad at you nyeh!’ moment. They have a priority list to go through, and even if your critical health seems like a priority to you, it might not be the top of the list for them. Target prioritization and multitasking and map awareness are all things that go into play as supports even when choosing targets to heal or pocket. So you may think you’re looking at a support not helping you, therefore thinking they are not doing their job, but they’re just not doing it now because they deemed you weren’t the top priority. Whether they’re right or wrong is on their skill level, but remember, you’re not playing support in this case, so don’t backseat drive their role.

i usually do as support unless im pressured or if the tank im following is about to die but i do turn around and try and locate the person that needs healing. sometimes tho they dont need it :upside_down_face:. that precious second made a tank die so make sure you need it!

I think you’re confused…….there’s front lining, which is indeed where lucio needs to be in order to actually help out his front lining tanks…

And then there’s Reddit lucio….who may as well be playing on another map altogether with how useless they actually are…

I’m too busy looking for where those Doomfist grunts were coming from to heal anybody. Stop doomfisting Grandma!

As support I usually am the backline. Why on earth are you standing behind me?
Are you one of those people who runs away and hides and then complains about not getting healed because you know, we cannot heal through walls.

If you are, I don’t like you <3

Being good at the game also isn’t. Yet here you are.

The most helpful thing you can do as someone who needs healing is to say what hero you are and where you are, especially when not playing in an established group. Help us help you. Even then they have to prioritize and may not be able to, or god forbid they might make a mistake, unlike everyone else, right?

While supports do need to be aware, it’s not always possible to be constantly spinning 360s. In my experience, it is beyond rare to play with a support who is “mad” about having to do what the role is intended to do.

With all the complaining about healing values you think people would thank you for not healing. By not healing, DPS can be meta like they always wanted.

Just can’t win.

On the rare occassion that I do play healer, I do not get complaints. Why? Because I pay attention and actually try to heal people close to me that ask for it. I’ll look and see if they are full health for a split second, but if they stand behind me spamming that they need heals, they are usually on a sliver of health left and they need to be healed. They stop spamming if they get healed.
But you, who just thinks “He’s spamming, ignore” and letting people die, you think that that in anyway contributes to the team?
