Hazard the most monotonous tank to play against

jump in shoot, block, block, block, jump, swipe, block, block, block, repeat.

No other tanks is as monotonous and frustrating to play against as Hazard. At least other frustrating tanks like Orisa are doing stuff, but hazard just stands there facing you with nothing you can do. If you remove focus from him he stops blockìng and if you return your focus he just blocks again while doing damage.

I’m sure somehow that’s fun to play, but playing against it is more boring than against any other tank, by a long way.

Stop giving him so much uptime on block and letting him charge it so quickly and be right back to blocking. There is no downside if he is also doing damage.

this is the WORST carachter design. only lifeweaver can be worse. there is NO FUN to play against tanks WITH NO DOWN SIDES. IF EVERY TANK HAS NO DOWN SIDE why should we pick one? or why are we launching anothers tanks?

He’s been out a week. People are still learning. There’s still going to be adjusting.

Good god when did this playerbase get so impatient with a new hero? Calm your skin bruh.

And for the record-no Orisa is not doing stuff. Fortify-spear-fire in whatever order. Such wow. Best cure for insomnia. Orisa is bottom of the pile when it comes to interaction fun times.

Deleted post because I can’t be bothered with weekend stupidity lol.

Going back to my beer, Rammstein and pinning people against the wall with Rein

Making an attempt to shoot him in the back is the goal, preferably with the help of teamnates so that he can’t just look at the one person

Literally all Ana has to do is exist and Hazard becomes useless

Came to say this.

This has been the nicest thing about swapping to marvel rivals - no ana.

YET…an equivalant will surface…muahahahahahaha…

which pretty much happens with all games tbf. A hard counter that’s hard to balance always surfaces, then all the bad stuff hits the fan and the playerbase aren’t best pleased. They have to make sure that any hero release isn’t as half assed as what comes out in OW sometimes.

They’re now under a HUGE microscope so one tiny mistake…it can blow up

(and I’m not saying that as someone against MR as I haven’t played it yet so I have no right to say how bad/good it is compared to OW2)

take the time to play and learn his basics… I main support, I do this for every hero that is released so I know how they need to work to function properly etc which helps me
1: Play against them effectively
2: Understand how to best heal and play support with them.

What do you expect, when the game became free to play- the player base patience went downhill.

It’s just a difference in how rivals approaches things.

Mantis has a sleep effect for example - but it’s 3 seconds max, not 5. no “fall asleep” or “wake up” animations. You take damage - it’s instantly broken. It also has limited range.

It’s good, but not a literal mark for death

Sleep dart lasts too long in overwatch. It also has an obnoxiously forgiving window where you can get hit with the dart, take damage during the fall down animation - but it won’t count to wake you up. Then you get to take damage to wake up. But there’s also a “stunned wake up” animation so you’ll take even more damage.

That’s 2-3 “free” instances of damage against you.

Even if you only take damage the literal nano second damage can wake you up, because of the down / up animations it’s still basically the longest core ability stun in the game.

Mantis sleep - you take damage? Instantly broken off you go. It’s a strong effect still, just no where near as obnoxious.

Oh yeah, I agree. Even as an Ana player, the sleep dart is too long. If I’m Rein, and I miss the sleep dart and get hit, I’ve been slept so long I need to wake myself up outside the game. It’s clear there’s no idealogy behind the effects of CC in this game. It’s why I’ve said countless times. Just take the game offline. Sort out the crap that needs sorting out, because god dam-there’s a LOT of stuff that needs to be sorted out. Then bring it back online.

Yeah it will suck because I love playing Overwatch-it’s my class A addiction lol. But I’d rather they just take the game offline, and just sort it out then bring it back. Because it’s really apparent they do not know what they are doing-it’s 100% rushed when it comes to pushing balance ideas.

Or just bring back the PTR. In the past the PTR wasn’t used. But now I feel if the PTR was brought back for testing things out before release, it would be used a lot more because people are just so sick of ill thought out balancing ideas which have no thought or direction behind them.

Mauga can stomp him. Sigma can hit him with rock. As others have mentioned, Ana can nade + sleep and give her team a free window to burn him down. Zen can ruin his damage resistance, allowing his team to kill through block. Any barrier tank can isolate him so he wastes time and gains nothing by jumping in and throwing up his block.

He’s also pretty bad in general against all forms of poke damage.

Mobility heroes are usually faster than Hazard, negating the effectiveness of block against those heroes.

He can be bopped away, making it hard for him block to be useful.

So far he seems pretty ineffective unless the player piloting him has perfect execution.

The block is the worst part. Deals like 70 dps with 75% damage reduction for 0 effort. Like it’s on a resource metre too so you can’t “mistime” it. You just have permanent uptime. With Doom it’s tied to a cooldown, with Ram its tied to a cooldown

But with Hazard it’s like you can’t hit your shots at close range? Whatever just block to take negative damage and also get free lockon damage for the hell of it

Well knock me down with the worlds smallest fart. I just discovered I can still knock down Hazard with shatter as Rein when frozen by his ult.

Huh. Nice. Safe to say after I discovered this the Cannibel Corpse song title “Hammer Smashed Face” was applicable KEKW

I’m still enjoying how people give up when they get hit by it. It’s so weird… they just accept their fate and die.

It’ll be over someday but for now people act like they got Blizzard frozen.

Yeah I do admit I almost didn’t do anything, but I thought I’d try it out as I had my ult and we were in a losing position anyway. Turned out it worked and we came back from behind and won the game

Sigma

The slowness of his primary makes it REALLY monotonous to hear. And that it can go around corners. Maddening.

Like I thought Mauga is very low design, but Hazard… They should really wait a little bit longer and come with something better

Your teammates can break the purple projection to wake you up as well.
