Can some of this hero’s power be moved from block to something else? He is constantly blocking while damaging. You get away, he just jumps after you and blocks while damaging some more. Shooting him is pointless with 75% damage reduction and then armour.
A huge step down in design even from Mauga. How can they not see that this kind of mechanic will be so boring to play against?

You are so wrong my dude. Hazards block makes him highly susceptible to CC. One sleep dart and hazard is dead…immediately. But not just sleep but also sigma accretion, mauga stomp, orisa javelin, hog hook, doom punch. Literally almost every tank has an answer to hazards block. Also the damage on hazards block is meaningless if the person he’s attacking receives even an ounce of healing
Mauga is quite literally the worst designed hero in the entire game. He beats every single tank in a 1v1 and requires a full team effort to take him down unlike most tanks.
Totally false. He can get right back to blocking after any of those. How does he insta-die when he can block for 75% DR while getting healed? I play hog and if I hook hazard he will just block. If I hook him out of block I get 1 shot then he’s blocking again. Then he throws his rock in front of him and can jump wherever he wants, often to high-ground.
It’s not as simple as interrupting his block (unlike hog in 6v6 where he is dead from any of those things if his breather is interrupted).
All he needs is a bit of a balance shift from armor to damage. Making his primary fire more consistent damage-wise would allow for some of the durability to be shredded away.
I think that would be the best option for a hyper-mobile dive/brawl tank.
Sounds awfully complicated when you just go Ana against him. Even if the other team picks kiri, you just sleep his E and if they suzu then you nade. Sleep is long enough to make his E useless and you still have nade just in case. Ana kit is just so fun as tank.
He is the main reason Im finally playing less and less, used to play daily now only 2 or 3 hours a week max. He is boring as hell and can be found in every other game. Blocking, DR, mobility, and mei style walls that push you and disrupt the flow of other mobility style characters? To me, he is the sombra of tanks, he isnt op but he sucks the fun out of other characters. Terrible character design.
The comment was in reply to what’s his face saying Mauga wins every tank 1v1. Silly point to begin with anyway, since this game isn’t about 1v1s in the first place.
In 1v1 scenarios there isn’t really any window of opportunity against mauga his passive helps him out a lot and no tank can burst through all the armor and his passive giving him overhealth before dying to him because mauga also has to do a lot of damage
