How much higher can I go from GM/T500??
When 43% of tank players are picking him in NA T500 (I counted by first slot only). For reference last season Orisa and Junker Queen had 15.25% pickrates (according to Lumins post), am I supposed to believe this hero is just mid or average?
Now this data is not 100% accurate and also does include diamonds because its very early in the season, but I have no doubt in my mind nothing will change when T500 starts filling up with high masters-GM

Also considering that S14 stats are not available yet, I question how you arrived at knowing the pick rate for Hazard.

Hazard, Orisa, Mauga… etc, raid bosses, ah and the inmortal Hamster.
All easily shut down if your team knows what they’re doing.
Most teams apparently don’t know what they’re doing.

By looking at the season 14 top 500 leaderboard on the game called Overwatch. Go to “competitive” then go to “leaderboard” and you can see the season 14 stats. Its not hard to do that much
Who also happens to be incredibly overtuned because majority of the top 500 metaslaves are playing him. They’re not picking him just because he’s fun, what a lousy excuse. The metaslaves are picking him because he got thrust into gigabusted tier, just like Sojourn was this season, after being mid for a while before that. They get gigabuffed, their pickrate skyrockets, they get nerfed, no one will play them because they’re only “fun” because they’re overpowered
Thats how it works, if the hero is overtuned to the max, lots more people will flock to play them. They’re not gonna play a mid tank in Top 500 just because he’s fun and new. No they will play whats most optimal and what can get them the most value for the least effort
- 7 second cooldown
- 2.5 second duration
- Only 5% less reduction which is unnoticeable in a real game
- deals 70 dps that locks on to your target. i’m sorry but it actually takes 0 effort to leap onto someone and hold right click to not only reduce your damage taken, but also deal damage at the same time. What a stupid design choice
- has a wider area of coverage at 180 degrees
- completely hides his headshot hitbox so you can’t even find the perfect angle and headshot him
- 3.5 second max duration compared to Doomfist’s 2.5 seconds
- Resource meter with a 1 second cooldown compared to Doom’s 7 seconds

He’s annoying cuz the heroes that can easily break his block and throw him off his game aren’t necessarily meta.

please uninstall, his the EASIEST to kill and his hp drains like there’s no tomorrow, his so weak i’m confortable killing him as a any healer, hell moira can kill him, if you are losing to hazard please stop playing
he requires so much healing and support just to make him work and sometimes you even need to swap off him, seriously this stupid game has so much flaws this is NOT one of them
i just had one game the two healers threw the game, i can see them MILES away hiding not healing and we got steam rolled, if you look at the enemy team, there were THREE lvl1s, they were artificially boosting smurf accounts to sell
p.s numnuts, blocking is a BAD thing, you can get pinned by rein, and slept, its NOT that good

The 5% actually means more at higher percentages
Doomfist at 80% resistance is only taking 20% damage, while Hazard at 75% is taking 25%, duh I know
With those rates though, Hazard is taking 25% more damage than Doomfist is while blocking. It’s not an insignificant increase to damage taken like one might expect.

Okay stop thinking about it percentage wise. Lets say a Cassidy shoots a Doom block, he does 14 damage, then he shoots a Hazard block and does 17.5 damage. He is one of the higher burst damage heroes too. You’re trying to tell me that 3.5 extra damage per bullet makes a noticeable difference? Are we just ignoring that both of them turn a 70 damage shot into sub 18 damage wet noodle shots? His 650 health with armor gives him 2600 effective health while blocking
And lets not act like that 5% is the difference between life and death. I’m 98% sure that its actually impossible to kill him through his block with all the healing thats in the game and the fact that you know, everyone is only doing 25% of their total damage

Ana doesn’t cripple him as much as she did Mauga thanks to his Spike Guard. If she nades him, he can simply pop that, reduce all incoming damage by 75% and that will ensure he survives the nade in most cases.
She absolutely crippled Mauga (and anyone with half a brain knew that) because his only defensive was his Cardiac Overdrive, which only reduced damage taken by 40% and the main reason he could survive as a tank while using it was because of the additional 100% lifesteal. Ana’s nade completely negated that since the duration of her nade is exactly as long as the duration of Cardiac Overdrive.
Did the other half of those brains register him being meta?
