Having some server issues

Every time i join a game, even practice range, my ping is different.

im in NA East and normal ping is 40, if i leave practice range and rejoin itll be 90, if i leave again itll be 170, then ~250. And its not even fluctuating, its stable at that ping until i leave the game and join again.

Is something wrong with the servers? or is this just me?

Having the same issue, ping fluctuates between 100-250 in most games now.

that’s probably it then. I’m Toronto with bell too, frustrating.

If it’s a Bell thing, this is the 3rd time in 2 months there’s been issues related to our ISP for connecting to Blizzard servers.

Yeah, it most likely is a bell thing, it happens so often its hard not to expect it.
Edit: playing with mobile data now, ping is like 80, still 40 higher than normal but i assume its because its a mobile network

Same issue here. My ping is usually 45 put since yesterday it’s been 95+. Near Ottawa, with Bell.

exact same problem here in vietnam connecting to singapore. ping was 44 became unstable reboot and 70ms

Hey y’all,

Can we get some MTR tests so we can take a closer look?

Once you have the program downloaded, type the server IP in the the “Host” field (the IP will be on the top left after pressing Ctrl+Shift+N while in a match). Click start, then play for about 20 minutes, then click on “Copy text to clipboard” and paste the results in this thread.

Toronto Canada here, Bell… same problem as everyone else here… fixed it with a power cycle of the modem about 10 mins ago. Don’t know if its a permanent fix but works for now. I’m back to 40 to 46 ping as oppesed to 100 - 200

Hello! Last week I have the same problem on EU server (ams1, cdg1), and US (ord1). Ping spikes 60-90ms, every 10-15 sec, up and down.

WinMTR not showing any problem, only latency on as57976.net. Just look a vid.

Just interesting, but Asia is fine with stable 230ms, without spikes and lost packets on netgraph.

Yeah again I had over 600 ping the last game I played.

I am having this problem too. Over 300 ms in practice range, quick play, and my own custom game. I am using Bell Canada as my service provider.
Is this the same problem from 3 weeks ago? October 24 there was a problem where Canadians and various other people were being sent to the wrong servers.

Ping is around 30ms and then suddenly, mid-match, it goes up to 200ms

My ping seems to be normal right now, but maybe its just temporary haha. Anyone else?

Thats why y’all go with FIDO. Its Rogers’ baby and has low price for great internet. I’m paying $75 for average 85 download speed. Its not that bad. Btw, I’m Toronto Canada as well.

Sadly, my folks are stingy about monthly expenses. They ditched Rogers for Bell because it was cheaper, even though I knew something like this would happen.

I’m in central Ohio on Spectrum and over the past few days, the latency goes from 50ms to 150-200 then down again. This is after several resets of the modems and on two computers. Basically unplayable since the latency fluctuates so much. Every so often I’ll get a server that keeps a stable 50-60ms connection, but when a new game starts the up and down is on again.
