Have you ever thrown a game?

In comp ofcourse. Be honest. Have you?

its not something I would ever do, but my pc is soooo bad once I got 1600 effing ping and my game crashed.
my pc ruins my games sometimes so the game crashes or is too slow.
kinda counts as unintended throwing…

I dont find throwing forgivable, but I’ve “thrown” a game once when a toxic 5 stack forced me to play Mercy (I’m a dps/tank main) and only Mercy while they purposely went in and fed enough that Mercys healing wouldn’t heal through it.

Then they’d say report me despite trying my best to use a hero i’ve barely ever used, and I’d imagine the whole five stack would slap reports on me while telling the enemy team to do the same.

So, obviously, I was over with them, and I just swapped to a Moira and enjoyed the rest of the game my way.

I’ll admit that when a group hasn’t been exactly polite that I may not have done my best.

I’ve never straight up tried to make a loss happen however.

i have never touched pharah but one match i decided to play pharah the entire match no matter what, we even had a leaver but somehow won

not sure if it counts

soft throwed a bit, if a dps try to argue my healing when i solo heal after losing the first round i clearly say to heal himsef somewhere else…so yea if you call it throwing it hapened to me a couple of time.

Throwing as being afk or falling off maps, no.

Even if I played off meta I was still winning games because of my poor elo ( Platinum chat literally – ) so at this point I am not sure if me playing Mei and co was soft throwing or not. If it does then yes I assume.

Well, were you walling your teammates in spawn and death traps to delay them or get them killed? Cuz that is what a thrower does. Otherwise it’s not really throwing if you’re trying to win

in my case i was trying to win i was just playing a character i had almost zero experience on and never played in comp

Oh no, that annoys even myself but walling stuff by accident during fights yeah, I did those.

Although usually I was walling the enemy Reinhardt for my front lines to smash him.

Sorry not sorry -

I have vocally threatened a toxic player that I would throw if he didn’t quit with his attitude. Of course I never went through with it. Cause I’m all bark and no bite.

Nice try, Blizzard ‏‏‎

1 time.

Only 1 dude made me say “ok, I’m going torb now. Good luck”

The most toxic player I’ve ever seen in my life lol

Does playing Bastion count ?
I’ve done that quite a few times now.

Yes on multiple occasions. People are often unhappy with certain character picks and outright run out of spawn and jump off the map for the whole match. They are usually smurfs so they don’t care to lose this way. They prefer it over playing with a certain hero/comp. It usually doesn’t take long for someone to join in and soon the whole team either jumps off the map or sits in spawn and waits for the game to end. I usually wait in spawn for the next match and move occasionally so I won’t be kicked. There’s no point in trying. I consider it throwing by the definition of not even trying.

Only once, really, back in season 2 or 3 placements. I wanted to learn Pharah, and didn’t know her very well. I was told Comp is the best place to learn a hero, and I wanted to learn at least one dps hero, so I tried learning her in comp.

My team was furious at me because I had very little time on her.

Decided to keep playing because the damage was done, and half our team had already begun to hard-throw, and after seeing how they reacted, I had no desire to fill or flex for them.

I suppose I was throwing along with them.

Nah never! It’s not fair on my team mates.

I do get tilted but I NEVER use abusive chat or blatantly throw!

Never. Even if we’re losing, I play my best till the end. I rather lose that SR than lose my account for throwing. Not to mention I wouldn’t throw if I myself wouldn’t want a thrower in my game.

Yes, once or twice. I would pick something off meta and just auto pilot until we lose. Only happens when my team already gave up, and they are throwing themselves too.

I’ve been extremely tempted to occasionally when people are toxic enough, but I’ve never done it. It’s amazing how toxic people can be tbh - I think if I want to play well I should be faster on the mute button.
