Have nothing against Hammond, but his voice lines are way to spammy

Gameplaywise i like the hero concept, i also have nothing against that he is a hamster. Sure they could have made him look less childish and look more like a actual hamster would look like:

https://www.google.com/search?q=hamster&client=firefox-b&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiP5ZK75fnbAhUFDOwKHUHLABYQ_AUICigB&biw=2560&bih=1298

and most people would react to him a lot more positive i think, but thats not why im posting here.

I sure can get over the hamster part (part of my even thinks its kind of genius), but i just cant get over how spammy and annoying the voice lines of his robot are. His robot is really commenting on every move or ability you make. That may be funny while playing him for the first 10 times. But after playing him for several hours it gets really annoying when his robot (i know he uses his robot as a soundboard to communicate) spams voice lines every few seconds. Thats the deal breaker for me.Not him beeing a hamster, but the voice line polution of the robot. I think if it at least would be 80 % hamster voice and 20 % robot voice and the robot would stop commenting every move , then it would work way better.

I also dont really like the voice of the robot that much. The squeekings of the hamster are hilarious but the robot has not really anny funny voice lines execpt of one or two and he sounds like a broken record player, to be honest.

He has none of his voicelines yet so I mean the real spam hasn’t even begun lmao

lol I’m sure they’ll adjust this. Remember when Dva first got micro missles and you’d keep hearing “BANG” all over the place?

Also if this was in no limits mode you found it annoying i think i see why…

His robot voice seems to be general more on the annoying side, no matter if 12 from him are on the field or only 2. Sure having more then 2 of him amplifies the annoyence, but i think even if you would play him only in quickplay and ranked the robot lines would annoy you very quickly.

Beside of that i really dont understand why they made him look like a pokemon. If they wouldnt had humanized his body proportions that much and made him look more like a actual hamster then people wouldnt be so against him, i think.

But they strangely made him look like he is comming directly out of a walt disney movie :

Well maybe some skins in the future will fix that.

I would love an inside look at their development process on him for sure - i see that he looks like a Disney Rodent and a Pikachu. I think he stores all of his mines in his cheeks :joy:

I think in “humanizing” his proportions, from a story telling perspective, they may be suggesting he was genetically modified with human traits. Not only that, but he is 14 years old when most hamsters only live 2 - 3 years - you could argue he became part human both physically and mentally in this process. His life as a lab specimen was dark, long and painful which would add merit to his need for escape - and fighting. I think when you consider that, he becomes less Disney like, at least to me. But I’m biased since I like him :hamster:

Now that you’ve posted that link, I’m thinking Hammond is severely overweight…

He is definitely overweight, he’s not running inside that ball :joy:
