Has anyone looked at Torbjorn's winrate lately?

Torbjorn is an hiden gem.

ikr, Torb’s doing good

i dont play him much but am happy for his mains

Yeah but like i said, the turret can’t target her while she’s invisible, you have to position the turret far away from your team otherwise when sombra ult the turret will be rendered useless and because of his big body/critbox, sombra’s gun actually works really against him.
Really the main problem against sombra is her ulti and positioning the turret in a really good spot so that it doesn’t get EMP’d while still preventing her to flank.

Also, you guy should look at the EU Top 500 leadboard.
At the 11rd place there is a guy named Engineer, a one trick Torbjorn at 4600SR.

sym and torbs winrates come from cancer 2cp defence. where their dumb cheese BS requires the attacking team to put in x10 the effort to counter it, than it does for the defenders to just sit behind shields and spam the chokes.

i think i have 100% winrate with torb on defense 2nd point anubis. spawn>overload/rush point>drop turret rinse and repeate until molten core.

I’m happy to hear he’s doing well. I have noticed he feels a lot more difficult to play against than ever before, but I don’t know if it’s to the extent that he’s overpowered.

I’d just say keep an eye on his win and pickrates. Wouldn’t be the first time the devs nudged the buff needle just a bit too far on a character.

It shuts down her hack when she comes out of invisibility, unless she takes it out first, which increases her setup time and gives your team an alert to her presence.

Torbjorn should be fighting her in Overload mostly, which means that her already poor damage is lowered against him thanks to the armor and also giving him the hp advantage.

When she ults, if he wasn’t caught up in it he can ult and deny the advancing team some space. Depending on how your team is positioned this could slow the enemy down a bit to get some abilities back online. That’s admittedly fairly map dependent but nonetheless a thing.

Not really, I’d argue that their shields actually counter molten core because it blocks it all.

Torb does so much damage now, he makes mincemeat out of any tanks.

Torb pick rate average of 1.2 with 55 percent win rate. That’s nothing to be worried about. Brig averaged 4.5 to 6 pick rate with 56 percent win rate at all levels. Torb hasn’t been a terrible pick since his rework. Since he not a liability on offense.

Yeah his average damage output is ridiculously. Avereaging a monsters 17800.

Yes.

Torb is amazing at countering high mobility heros. He can wreck Genji/Sombra,Tracer’s day. If only I could hit anything with his primary fire I might actually be able to climb with him. :joy:

Mercy 2.0 absolutely didn’t have a negative winrate.

Now tell us the pickrate. Garbage heroes frequently have low pickrates and high win rates.

For two reasons. People change heroes when thier decision effects the team. Or the few people sticking to thier guns are REALLY, REALLY good with said bad hero

They did. It’s on the PTR.

Meh, it’s still not enough until it’s a faster deploy

Context is important. When you say, “his pickrate is going up”, how much and to what level?

If it’s going from 0.4% to 0.41%, well it did go up but only technically.

0.4% to 1.2%, well that’s a substantial increase but still nothing to really worry about compared to, say, Rein’s 12% that surrenders a mere 3% win rate (for example. I don’t have the numbers in front of me).

Now if you’re talking about going from 0.4% to something like 4 or 5%, then there’s either a problem or his win-rate is just lagging a bit. Restrict your numbers to the most recent week and compare that to the last month to see if there’s a discrepancy.

I know. I was more referring to when the PTR patch hit the main game.

You have to keep in mind that win rate is a funtion of pick rate as well. Back then, Mercy was essentially on both teams in every single game, which means every one fo those matches had 1 win and 1 loss for mercy, which is 50% - these essentially all cancel each other out. From there all you have to do is have one person lose one more game than someone won and you’re in 49% territory. She was certainly powerful but at lower ranks you get a lot of variability so it’s not at all impossible.
