1.4k hours in Ranked. I’ve been playing since 2016. Everything is as usual, MMR works as it should. No problems.
I’d guess the problem with bad players is that you’re a bad player yourself. And MMR pairs you with people just like you.

If people had to buy the game there would be severly less new players keeping it going.
F2P Made smurfs/alts and cheater having a blast as if they get banned they just create anew account.
I could argue that Candycrush (I think it’s called) Is a massive success with a huge amount of players. Would people play it if they had to buy it? Probably not
I did some stadium quick plays for rewards a while ago, and I did notice that nearly all of my matches had brand new players with default skins.
They exclusively play dps, mostly hitscan, and they don’t ping enemies, they don’t use the chat wheel, they are just beaming down damage like it’s some unga-bunga military shooter where a player has to be clinically disabled to have a negative K/D
It won’t. The majority likes them and that is proven by the fact that they’ve outlasted pools LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
If members of the team haven’t adjusted to be able to play more than one character after 2 seasons and more to come with bans being present, they’re just bad.

Not surprised. Matchmaking is much worse. Out of nowhere my teams decreased drastically in quality, and it feels like being outnumbered every game… because multiple people are that bad.
Every match. A lot of matches. The problem has not fixed itself via drastic decrease of win rate, MMR, etc…

100% there is a decline in matchmaking in diamond my bro is gold 3 I ran a game for him got destroyed. I was 50-4…. My team had to be bots. On OW2 when it first came out I could solo carry gold lobbies all the way up to plat easily. Why is this game doing everything it can to keep you at a certain rank? Seems like bullish t to me. I always go positive I don’t have a skill issue. I have been in Diamond comfortably for about 8 years. Gold should have been a no brainer win.
How exactly did you observe this? I find that on average only 1-2 players in a QP game have public profiles. Nowhere near enough to draw any conclusions about the ranks of players in a game.
I’ve tried asking when I felt I was in a game I shouldn’t be, but usually get no answer or maybe 1 answer.
So, for the 3rd time this week, I’m calling this OP out (1st time for this OP though) as fake news. Completely made up story.
Its been an absolute mess this season
I have been consistently plat 2/1 on support for multiple seasons. Got placed at my highest and now I am down in gold 2 because I just can’t seem to get good game quality.
Ive won maybe 3 games in the last 2 weeks but I know I haven’t got THAT bad. I have low deaths good numbers on average but I sit and watch tanks just trying ton1 v 5 or have dps going 3 and 12 and then when you look at the levels of their heroes played its like 3-4 and you are 34/35 etc.

Similar issue: Only few public accounts per game.
But I am a mid diamond player and I would argue that I know how different ranks play, of course this is flawed and not perfect.
This affects mostly my main account.
I saw on my alt account far too many high ranked player with public profile in the 100 games I played, which rarely happens on my main account if at all.
Yeah it’s a good guess combined with fuzzy data, but I still believe credible enough that something is weird or off.
I dont see gold players in my qp games pretty much never. It’s rare to see anyone below diamond in fact.
And if there is a gold, they’re usually grouped up with someone. As qp allows unrestricted grouping it can happen.
i had one game though somewhat recently where both teams were 4 players of bronze-silver and one high ranked (master-gm) support (me vs someone else). that was a funny one. I was solo but iirc the other support on the other team was grouped up.
Also remember that qp and comp mmr are separate, so your “diamond comp” account may not have a diamond mmr equivalent in qp. If you play in “gold/plat” lobbies consistently, its most likely the case.
