Hey all I have seen many discussions over the years about climbing, hardstuck accounts, smurfing, boosters, throwers, rigged games, 50/50 win ratios etc…. I have seen a few higher rank players do unranked to GM or Bronze to GM, but never take a very old account in the middle of gold for many seasons and rank it up. So I am taking this challenge upon myself, and taking notes of each match to see what happens. My background for gaming in general been playing fps since the 90s, been able to play …

• i too will be doing the challenge on dps
• i dont plan on giving myself a restriction like onetricking a hero i am not already comfortable on
• i will only play tank and support if i need to farm flex q passes therefor i will be omitting their replay codes. i can post them if you want but the gameplay will be poor
• my “correct” dps rank is high diamond (not gm or top 500 and not a top 100)
• this account is “incorrectly” ranked with multiple seasons of history “hardstuck” at 2.3k and belo
• i am not comming in voice or making callouts

i dont have a set end goal for this (diamond maybe) but if stays easy i will end it early

played another game but i played like total crap so im going to hold off on doing the rest of the planned games today

i ego peeked the enemy torb too much and fed a lot cus of it i also had shaky aim and had trouble hitting shots until our last overtime push where i started to get into the groove

the games themselves dont feel difficult yet cept for me playing bad sometimes hopefully that goes away as i get further into plat and play against people who can aim

i expect a tough game soon due to my 9 game winstreak so far, want to be ready for it

i got my overbuff syncing now i was having trouble at first you can look at stats there if u want but theyre going to be rly odd since im playing underranked atm

i have been busy playing space engineers lately so i have not done much competitive but i have two more games played to add to the dataset

the players are getting better for sure. none feel truly out of their rank yet though. i think they are genuine platinum players for the most part. the genji from last two games felt diamond but he did not seem good enough to be masters. if the MM is trying to interfere it has not reared its horns yet. more games will be required to confirm

there are only 11 games in total so far but i am up a lot! we will have to see if it continues or if the games start getting hard. already it seems like the results are more positive than when the top 100 player tried the challenge i think i passed their maximum gain a few games ago…

some up and down but overall up 2 games today and i am still winning a lot more than i am losing in terms of sr + raw games. if anyone is curious my queue times have only been around 5 minutes per which is stellar

my sr is getting higher too. i am getting diamond players in my lobbies now and it is becoming more difficult to fight for insane stats but that is to be expected 2750 is well within range of diamond players.

as i approach my true sr the games will get much harder. sometimes it is difficult for me to break a composition or find value. learn as we go… what i am keeping an eye out for are forced losses and rank suppression but it has not reared its head (yet…)
