I am stuck in bronze 5 in some competitive modes. I won more games than I lost, I still don’t rank up. My performance also shouldn’t be so bad, that I am stuck in bronze 5. I also queued with a friend together in another competitive mode, we won all those games together while I got put in bronze and she got put in platinum. Is this normal? I feel like I can’t climb out of bronze. I feel like there is something not right with my account, this has been ever since I started playing overwatch 2. Is there something I can do?
What tank were you in OW1?
I haven’t played overwatch one. But my dps and my mystery heroes rank is stuck in bronze. I have not such a big problem with support, tank or open queue. My stats in dps are mostly around 20/30 kills and my highest amount of deaths was around 10 today. Still got bronze 5 3 times in a row with winning more games than losing
Don’t know what to tell you sorry
Do you know what matters to rank up? Some people say only performance matters, some say only winning more than losing matters… even tho both of it applies to me, maybe I can look to get better at one of them
Well, better performance normally equals wins, so focus on gamesense and ability usage… But stay on the objective. (control point, payload, push bot, etc.)
The hidden amount of rank points you earn or lose are weighted based on the predicted difficulty of the match.
If you win a game that the matchmaker thinks you should win, you gain fewer points.
If you win a game the MM thinks you should lose, you get more points.
Same happens in reverse for losing points.
A positive winrate sometimes isn’t enough. The points you’re earning could indicate that you’re being carried more than 50% of the time.
The only way to really climb is practice, learning, and more practice.
Yeah LOL. What I was trying to say is that pure mechanical skill (like aiming) isn’t super important in OW compared to games like COD.
I dont’ honestly understand how anyone can be stuck in bronze. Do you just stop playing after placements? You would for sure climb out pretty easy if you just try harder.
