Hi I was hard locked in bronze 5 due to a bug which lots of other people experienced when overwatch 2 first launched. There was a soft reset to help climb out of bronze 5, but I didn’t do my damage rank on role queue back then. As I’ve been playing ranked more regularly, I’ve began trying my damage role again as I feel more confident in it. But I’ve played 3 sets of 5 wins as so:
5 wins - 0 loss 78% higher than all other bronze 5
5 wins - 8 loss 88% higher than all other bronze 5
5 wins - 1 loss 99% higher than all other bronze 5
I don’t understand how this can be the case. In the last set of games I was getting over 25 elims and between 8k-16k damage and between 50% & 67% accuracy by the end of the games.
In my open queue rank which wasn’t hard locked by the bug in the beginning i have a career high of plat 4 and have consistently stayed in low plat, high gold.
In my other two role queue ranks, that were effected by the hard lock bug at the beginning of overwatch 2, I have highs of gold 1 in support and silver 4 in tank.
So to be hard locked in bronze 5 for damage doesn’t really seem like it can be right as it doesn’t reflect my skill level in open queue or my other ranks.
I raised a ticket with customer support about this but was subsequently sent here as this is where these kind of things are meant to be looked at.
But I’m struggling to believe that anyone has read this or even looking into this as I’m currently still hard locked in bronze 5. It’s taking a toll on how much I enjoy the game. I could just not play damage, but why should that be the outcome? There must be a fix for this
