Hard lock aim bot + team stack

KJG7R6
Hard lock aim bot, not even subtle, didn’t even wait till they were losing. Enemy sombra - swapped to widow like 2 minutes in. Didn’t ever turn off cheats. (No time stamps needed, it’s 100% of the time on every single elimination its not even a question - 20+ elims)

Called them out for it in round 2 and we just decided it wasn’t worth it, our team could admit we aren’t skilled enough to deal with it so we just waited for the game to end (our dps had like 3 or 4 elims total to their 20+)

The enemy tank and DPS were also in a group (as was the cheater) - not sure if they were cheating together or not but report the replay code and let blizzard figure that out.

GL all.

---- EDIT: for those who don’t know, you can help report cheaters by posting the replay code > copy it > career profile > history > replays > once code is added to your list of replays you can select it > in the top right corner is an unlabeled triangle button ----- > / ! \ <----- click on that to report the replay code then type the name of the person you are reporting

500,000 cheaters banned, so those people and depending on case the people they were boosting all want to get back to their desired rank pronto. Smurfs galore testing the new season. When the game is so bad at detecting cheaters and doesn’t ban them on the spot, it’s GG for people with free or paid cheats. It’s how things are when Blizzard deems it not vital in a multiplayer game that they say is on the competitive spectrum.

Cheaters are still a problem, same with smurfs. Blizzard gotta work on it

Did they even say 500k were banned specifically in a recent wave or they’ve banned 500k since launch?

What does it matter? 500K is a huge amount and that’s just the people that were caught…There are so many ways to cheat in Overwatch that can’t even be easily detected, even with kernel level anticheat. A lot of people are trash like that, it’s just human nature. When you can get an unfair advantage, many more people will take that than you think. And cheating has gotten more accessible over the years, when I was a teenager cheating required a lot from the player in order to use them and they were not as easy to find and use. Now they’re full on services with subscription business models, funky menus, AI-based tech and all kinds of protections against hardware ID bans…just search on google and see for yourself. They even get 24/7 support…it’s crazy, but it’s become a multi-billion dollar business.

Oh and another thing…cheating is harder to police than it was when you could host your own servers. Game companies wanted full control over that but policing gets quite expensive when you run things at such a large scale. Dealing with cheaters is almost as expensive as the server infrastructure these companies build for their games, so it’s hard to justify the expense. Even harder when a lot of players can’t even tell what the cheats look like…everyone can tell a rage hacker or a spin bot is that, but closet cheaters have entire forum threads and discords discussing how to hide their cheating. They call it “legit” gameplay, which is their way of saying it needs to look like it was just skill in action. Sometimes even above average players resort to cheating, there have been numerous instances of pro players and streamers getting caught cheating in various games because there was money to be made. There are even scientific papers that concluded that some of the most competitive player out there are even more inclined to cheat than your average sweaty casual.
