Hanzo's new rework friendly debate

Let’s have a friendly debate

Will hanzo’s new rework show which players only used him for his abilities, or will it show who actually had fun with him and were good, or will it not matter?

It will make him way better, more people will play him and people will complain and ask for nerfs because they get headshot way more often.

I think the new rework will make people beg for scatter to return

People who can actually land headshots will be rewarded

Imo it will be less fun but more effective.

Not less fun because of damage shift, less fun because Scatter used to have a role (hitting enemies hiding in safety) that Volley won’t have.

Overall Hanzo will be better and overall more fun with the new roll, I hope the rework in the PTR will bring more than what Blizz said they did.

I’d still play him even if he’s worse off than now. And I’d still play him if he’s in a good spot. Basically, I’ll still be Hanzo trash. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Another question is for the people who are so happy a cheap scatter is getting removed.

How can we be certain the new abilities won’t make him worse than scatter was?

I also think people who hate scatter will hate this ability even more. If youre decent with hanzo this rework will make you more consistent and harder to kill. Tanks will definetly be harder to kill though because now they will have time to react and not instantly get killed like orisa and winston. Pharas on the other hand will probably have a tough time because his arrows will be faster. I dont know but im optimistic yet, kinda have to be when youve been waiting since december…

I would assume that you can kite tanks all day long with his new leap ability.

I always said: Hanzo will be be hated regardless of how good/bad he is. Disliking him is a meme.

Volley will be stronger than Scatter and with the mobility i can’t wait to feel the salt of the Winston and everyone else crying for nerfs. I’m looking forward to it.

I’m pretty sure people who play Hanzo do it for fun because he’s so terrible. The new changes are gonna make him more fun.

Scattering anyone with an average-sized hitbox is about as difficult as landing a headshot.

Scatter only had one issue - it was one shotting tanks.

I’ve always felt Hanzo with his kit were good, but lacking. Scatter did a bit much and made it not-so-fun to kill someone without meaning to or getting killed from a Hanzo that missed his scatter and it somehow headshot you.

With the rework, it seems it will make Handsoap a bit more consistent and overall stronger. People think this rework is a nerf, but it’s not. It’s a rework that I believe will make him stronger and much more viable.

Looking at how many times my scatter bounced of a small bump on the ground which rendered it useless I’m even glad its gone for something more reliable.

It won’t matter, EVERYONE will always hate Hanzo

except me.

I don’t know about viable. but he will be stronger, though i don’t think it will be enough to make him better than Widow.

We shall see i guess.

They didnt rework hanzo to nerf him though, they did it so more people can use him effectively and proficiently in more situations, because as he is now hes very situational and random. But hes going to be OP in deathmatch for sure.

I hope the leap gives him the mobility that can help him get kills and reposition easy(my big question is can you combo his into wall climb). With the speed increase, I like it, as it’ll help with leading shots, and help counter phara(which I’m ok with). Sonar arrow I like, as I do prefer more sonars in less range. As for volley, I think it will be amazing in the right hands.

My overall hope is that these help him to make him not considered a troll pick, but not over prune him(I don’t want another junkrat or mercy scenario).
